If you have a credit account with a bookmaker and are struggling to pay what's the best thing to do please friend is really struggling it's for £900

Honestly? A man seeking equity should come with clean hands. In other words contact them and agree an affordable plan to pay off the debt.

I always thought gambling debts were not recoverable by law, more a gentlemans agreement rather than set in stone. Who offers credit bets these days anyway ? Especially to 9 bills, thought wealthy mugs like Wazza Rooney could only get a courtesy like that.

If memory serves me right they refined the law some years ago. You'll have to excuse me as I've given the Guinness and Laphrioag a battering tonight but I'm pretty sure that was the case.

Thanks for all your advice especially crags yours was most useful he hasn't given them any ID or proof of address all he's done is have a phone call and placed bets via text message and the phone is not in he's name either

1) stop betting 2) pay £10 a week for two years 3) use the two years to learn a bit about how to analyse form and such. |

ring them & explain the situation - but say your willing to try &
gamble your way out of it if with them, if they'll cut you some slack |

Accuse them of bonus abuse and tell them that you have voided the bets to be fair on other punters. Tell them you can't pay as it's a traders decision. |

take no notice of letters they will send you and make no contact with them just tear the letters up

get a acc with 3 bookmakers for a couple of grand wait for a 3 horse race close betting and back all 3 horses with different bookies wait for the money on the winning horse then try back a winner again when you lose just knock the bookie
