Todays corporate football needs cash. Rangers had massive cash infusions in the eighties and nineties. Royal bank of Scotland cheque book.
Sure you can buy young talent at a low price and make it into something great. But Ranger's usually went to the cheque book removing this option. Celtic saw this as a way of making cash. |
