Interesting that, like star wars, they used modified real guns for this. WW2 era stuff, not so futuristic!
The big cool guns are modified German heavy machine guns, the light ones modified US Thompson machine guns, like the gansters used to use.

Makes you wonder what the guns did in their previous life, like if they were killing real people 30 years previously.

Ha, Ha, you know I meant sigourney weaver!

But come to think of it she was just a mother protecting her children, so she qualifies!

The alien that is.
By:

When: 22 Apr 16 23:08
Well I think sigourney is a mum at the end as well?

Those sort of exoskeleton loaders at the end seem a good idea, I wonder if they'll ever be used?
By women I mean, men can already lift huge heavy boxes by hand Tongue Out

But she is not her real mum, Just checking.

But why do women need machines when men love to help us Happy

Even if it is just to get into our knickers Laugh

If you didn't have machines, it would take a lot longer to do our laundry Devil

Although it is not funny when i think of the past when women spent hours washing by hand Sad

You know I have lived with many men, but, to my recollection, I have never done all their washing and certainly I don't think I have ever  ironed anything for a man.  I might have put some of their stuff in with mine if I did not have a full load, but their washing and ironing was their responsibility, not mine.

I lived in a student dive flat for a year without a washing machine, that was a year of hand washing, so I'm familiar with the effort! Learned all the tricks, e.g. be careful how you wring out so you don't stretch the wrong bit like the neck of a t shirt etc. I put the skills to good use on holiday, bathroom sinks in hotels have learned to fear me Laugh

I'm married over 40 years and have never ironed a shirt in my life.
Even when my wife went into hospital to have our kids I went and stayed with her parents rather than cook for myself. Laugh

Annie that's how I grew up. My mother did everything in the house.
My wife had a similar environment so was just natural she looked after me. Laugh

I hate ironing. It's such a waste of time! The secret is getting the right shirts etc that you don't need to iron and just hang damp, or worst case just need the bare minimum :)

But ironing does have it's uses. You can use the iron in the hotel room to quickly dry out damp clothes you didn't just quickly wash in the sink Wink I should write a book on this Laugh

I am the same, Just Checking, I only buy clothes that dont need ironing.

It makes a huge difference in the material. I really need to write down what the really good shirt mixes are.
Some shirts come out the washing machine and you stick them on a hanger and don't need to touch them, perfect, others are crease machines. Without looking I think polyester is awful and a sort of cotton blend is good, something like that.
By:

When: 23 Apr 16 00:59
Agree, again.

Polyester usually looks not good.  But cotton mixes can look good and not need much ironing.

I must admit to a soft spot for 'Ben Shermans' shirts, they seem to have the right mixture and look good on men.

Maybe I'll have to look out for them, when I've bought expensive shirts I've been not impressed.
I just look out for stuff that looks good in say Next or Debenhams or at a push .. M&S.
(When I'm buying manly M&S sandwiches)

In fact now I think about it one of the worst shirts I've got for creases is I think the most expensive shirt I've bought!

What is a manly sandwich, Just Checking? Happy

Ben sherman shirts are casual shirts though, not for wearing with suits.

Cheese and pickle, or egg mayo Laugh
For smart shirts it would be Deb/MS not Next or B/S
They both I think do the right shirts if you look enough, but also wrong 'uns!

I've a nice shirt from the Rangers collection JC.
Fantastic almost heathery look light blue.
The only real Rangers bit is a very small red, white and blue tag on the pocket.
Cost a few quid but the wife says it's a nightmare to iron.
