I'm all for having a monarch who is ambassadorial which the Queen certainly is.
The family too. They present us very well internationally. My frustration is that she's not allowed to express opinions and yet she supposedly reigns over us??  All a bit daft really. Maybe we could do away with this majesty nonsense if there's no power to go with it. I would have loved her to have been more vocal in upholding the Christian heritage of this nation. She and 500 years of monarchs before her vow to each time they're enthroned. She's been too quiet whilst the country struggles for any identity.. |

The reason for the teacakes has made them legends.
Tunnocks ran a spoof ad with spoof wrappers on the teacakes. Was when the Great British Bake Off was on the tv and the ads were on the walls of the London Underground. They advertised them as the Great British Teacake and changed the emblem to the Union Jack or something. The Scottish Resistance thought it was for real and protested outside their factory in Uddingston calling them traitors. |
