Nixon declared war on cancer in 1971 - he said in ten years cancer will be conquered.

jump to 1981 - still there to do - nearly fifty years later and cancer still killing large swathes of people.

in the last 15 years three of my uncles have died through cancer, all three had chemotherapy ? All suffered more by the treatment.

it's not just cancer - i was promised hovercraft and jet packs in the seventies.
"in ten years time..."  - this sentence when it's rolled out in the news has been heard by myself so often it means nothing.

so much of 'tomorrow's world" promises did not show up.

people actually have an expectation from science, that in ten years time they will have an immortality drug? or some universal antidote that will cure all illness.

i see science as a long process that is hampered by financial interests. Flash Gordon could speak through mobile devices and tv screens in the thirties comic strips and later the serials. And although it was a possible technology back then, It wasn't rolled out for seventy years as an everyday contrivance.

so listen out for - in ten years time... and take it with a pinch of salt.

In 10 years time salt will not be a part of our diet (you heard it here first)

wrong - about salt - i buy pink rock salt - it contains 90 minerals that the body needs and can't get from usual sources. look up minerals in pink rock salt.

ohmybrainhurtz - recognize acidosis in myself. calcium depletion etc. i switched to tap water a couple of years ago. the chlorine in the water was a bit suspicious to me recently and i switched to bottled water, but there's issues too with plastic leaching. can't seem to find anything out there that doesn't have cancer risks?
Eating lotsa green veg and the pesticides will get me. but best thing to do is avoid going to hospitals at any time.

i'm not going to keep attacking your posts zorro, but may i offer you a tiny bit of advice.

be even with your scepticism and perhaps be more suspicious of the heterodox than the orthodox.

the ease with which you able to navigate to a webpage selling a product after reading about its purported health benefit should act as a warning sign.

anyway, some reading you may enjoy

Scientists should not be making predictions about the future, especially when one of their creations from 1945 could end it all. I know that big business has captured scientific research. the USA took over the UK's research from penicillin to jet engines. corporations have engulfed any free thinking scientists with unlimited printing of fiat money. Apple computers could be bought tomorrow by the US fed Reserve. just by printing 300 billion dollars. I think of Pasteur and Dr Ehrlich with their primitive small setups. they made leaps and bounds in science. Yet multi billion dollar labs make little comparable impact today? Something is wrong there. Men with conflicting ideas are swallowed up or ignored in medical research. Engulf and devour(the old joke).

U think it's very reassuring even the world's biggest companies can easily be taken over by leading governments.

Imagine the mess if Apple, Google etc were more powerful than the country

at least they don't print cash yet? although Apple pay and digital currencies could change that.
