Did anyone else listen to radio Luxembourg in the punk era?
sure did. Too many to list but I noticed someone mention the Skids Into the Valley, the B-side called TV Stars brings back happy memories.

Charlie Harper got me and my mates in The Marquee one night, one of my pals was a skinhead, the bouncers wouldnt have it, he told the bouncers these boys follow us everywhere, good old Chas, saw them in Amersham Arms in New X about 20-25 years ago, superb

never really into punk when it was out but one of my younger brother was. Constant sound of siouxsie ans the banshees, orange juice and the Buzzcocks coming through the bedroom wall. I am sure there must have been many more but they are the ones i remember. Orange juice sounded about the best

Punk had so much energy and lots of good stuff been mentioned. I'd like to add Identity and Oh Bondage Up Yours, as I'm a fan of the late Poly Styrene and X-Ray Spex

I was just too young for the first wave of punk but was well into the second wave (early eighties onwards).
Somebody mentioned SLF earlier - Hanx is one of the best live LP's ever released:
Johnny Was: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwu2r4HQ7gE
The Subhumans were one of my favourite bands and they were local to me so i've seen them about a million times (approximately):
Religious Wars: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFFDpvk_fEM&list=RDmFFDpvk_fEM#t=2
There are so many that its difficult to choose but Big A Little A by Crass used to get played a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIdcDL64KCE

I go to a lot of punk gigs in and around Bristol and they are generally fairly good natured with a lot of fat old geezers re-living there youth but when I saw the ANL in the Bierkeller a few years ago there was genuine animosity in the crowd!

I was thinking last night that it is very subjective as to what constitutes punk or new wave. Adam Ant classed himself as a punk artist, yet he has also been categorized as new wave and even a new romantic. Blondie were a punk outfit imo, yet Sunday Girl was one of the 70's top disco tracks. Another one was Ian Dury who also was a punk artist yet Rhythm Stick was also a top single on the disco charts.

Was talking to a bloke in the pub recently who insisted he had fronted a famous punk/new wave band during the 70/80s. I didn't believe a word of it but he was adam ant.

I'm sure one or two gentlemen of a certain age on this thread who will recall that one of the bands mentioned to date had a beautiful female bass player. What's maybe less well known is that this delightful individual appeared under a pseudonym in a few Top Shelf Gentlemen's Entertainment periodicals before her band became known nationally.
I never saw these worthy publications at the time (although I'd heard the rumours) but thanks to the wonders of the World Wide Web these magnificent, erm, pieces of art can be seen in all their glory at the Vintage Erotica website. Just google accordingly.
You can thank me later, and I'm not taking any blame if your browser history is then seen by all and sundry.

He's doing pretty well now after his much publicised breakdowns. Went to see him last year in Liverpool and he was on top form.http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/review-adam-ant-east-village-9077861
he went to the same school as me as a very small boy--barrowhill in st johns London London, sounds posh but in truth was an old time school with very strict teacher who though of nothing to give the ruler to 6 year olds like me

Probably 'Wonderful World'
It was on one of the 'Oi' albums and they were big / notorious in that scene as 'the band that started the Southall riot'.

I went to school with a lad who, after playing in a few local bands ended up playing guitar (possibly bass) with UK Subs and The Rezillos/Revillos.
Can't remember but think he was call Macaughlin. It was a loooong time ago

I can't remember going to see the Ramones, but my mate Pete swears I did.
Brighton Centre, autumn 1979. Absolutely no recall of the band, the gig, my presence there or anything. But apparently I was there, right at the front, getting pogoed into the bouncers.
Same thing with the Undertones. I've got a ticket stub which says I saw them at Bracknell Sports Centre at that time, but if you asked me, I'd swear blind I'd never even been to Bracknell, never mind gone to see a band whose falsetto appeal I never understood.
And the Only Ones. The only reason I know I saw them somewhere in Windsor in the 1970s was because I was using a town centre urinal afterwards and the chap standing next to me started absent-mindedly humming Glad To Be Gay.
By the way, is it true that Tom Robinson turned out to be happily married with kids?

I was never a punk fan but seen the Pogues on NYE around 1989. I'm not sure who was more drunk, Shane or me.
My favourite punk song is 68 Guns by the Alarm
