A few years back I was pulled over and detained for six hours!
All they found in my baggage was some German sausage and salami. Admittedly, that was a wurst case scenario.

When I was in Germany itself, I was lucky not to be arrested when I went into a newsagent's in Munich and asked the assistant if I could see his papers.
Could have been a case of mistaken identity. Doppelgänger 
was the customs officer in question a Frankfurter?
