I know there has been the odd forum get together in the past but doesn't it spoil your picture in the minds eye?
I did it once. I was on a now defunct boxing forum and me and this other guy had some very in depth but sometimes heated debates. He was a boxing writer and got access all areas and he invited me down to one of Ricky Hatton's training camps. We met up, he was a tremendous chap and the perfect host which totally killed my ability to engage with him beyond pleasantries once we were back on the forum. I know it did the same for him and what once had a certain edge which we both relished was gone.
Anybody any thoughts or stories of meet ups?

I think of Chit Chat as a soap opera in which we all participate. I think letting it and real life contaminate one another would be a mistake since it would take away some of the charm of the former and could potentially cause you problems in the latter!
Not for me.
Although I'm convinced everyone would get on far better in real life. Just agree to disagree, have a beer and move onto something less fraught instead of forever points scoring and grandstanding to a wider audience, who really don't give a stuff.

Not a chance. 97% on here aren't allowed out of their institutions as they are classed as a risk to the public.

I have rarely watched daytime tv in my life, but when I started playing poker and was at home during the day I sometimes watched countdown etc. I haven't watched daytime tv, to my recollection, for the last four years.

I think what annoys me even more than the man jibes is when he accuses me of lying, like just now and then says I have been found out. He has never proved I have lied about anything and I challenge any man on here to prove that as well.
I have always prided myself on honesty and not lying above almost anything, so to be accused of it is really upsetting (that word again)

it's ok Mr Gnarley the broker is not from Plymouth himself. The reason we have taken this route is because those we have seen advertised on Ebay tend to gloss over the faults in the adverts, not usually waiting to tell you until you get to the moorings.
