Scottish referendum - bank - HSBC said they would leave Scotland if they left the UK. after the election they still were talking about leaving the UK. It was just a divisive banking policy.

Question Time is the same arguments every week. Some dippy leftie often comes on and suggests that because the NHS in their opinion "requires" arguments, all migration is a good thing. Which is not a valid logical argument. And now the stupid (Green?) biatch just said "we are all migrants too". That's another one trotted out by the simple minded.

Hannan was born on his parents' farm near Lima, Peru.[7] His mother is Scottish.[8] Hannan's father served in Italy during the Second World War with the North Irish Horse. Hannan has indicated that his father's Irish Catholic origins made him more sensitive to issues related to Northern Ireland and The Troubles.[9]
Growing up, he made regular trips to the family's cotton farm in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.[7] After spending his childhood in Peru, Hannan was educated at Winchester House School, Marlborough College and Oriel College, Oxford, where he studied Modern History.[7] He speaks English, French and Spanish.[4]

Who you talking to zorro? Yes Milliband did. AFTER his dad died they rewrote the will to re-divide up his property across his family so they didn't cross the tax thresholds and so didn't pay the tax.

cutting budgets to councils - shutting libraries and public amenities. while they give a lot of corporations a wink and a kiss concerning tax.

Sales tax in the US can be really annoying, you see something for $20, go to pay, and it's like $21.75 or whatever as they put the tax on top of the listed price.

Just finished watching Qt. What I can't fathom out is why these pro the EU can't see the big picture. The Common Market was a good idea but it has based on each member state retaining sovereignty. Now we have a Union that has a USoE as it's aim and the thought should frighten everyone because it will ultimately be controlled by Germany. As Nige famously said in the European Parliament Who do you think you are kidding Mr Juncker.

I'd be pro EU if it was what it was supposed to be 20 years ago, as it stands I think I'll be out. Watch how they handle it (and it'll be badly) as "migrant madness" kicks off badly in the next couple months.

cutting budgets to councils - shutting libraries and public amenities.......
Yes that old chestnut got the usual hysterical outpourings and sympathies from the mob audience.
Labour Doncaster Council has 55 councillors, a Chief Executive, 5 Directors and 16 Assistant Directors for starters. Anybody would think it's a country the size of Belgium!
It doesn't seem to occur to anybody to remove one or two of these superannuated nobodies who must all cost the taxpayer/ratepayer £100K plus with their salaries and fat contributory pensions. Maybe then a library wouldn't have to be closed or a lollipop lady sacked
