Haven't seen you for many a year AM. You're in Oz and in the optical profession if I remember correctly.
yeh kenny but still would like a reply in 5-1 8-1 3-1 style odds as to understand what I asked in a way of knowing my chances of winning
I gave you what I consider the right answer on general betting. As you were too lazy to c&p the question on here I'll do it for you.
can anyone tell me the odds of throwing 9 dice at the same time and NOT having the number 4 come up. I am assuming it would be the same odds as throwing 1 die 9 times and not having any particular number come up. so I basically want the odds of a particular number NOT COMMING UP. thanks for any help.

I make it odds of 9/5 in my head
odds against 4 appearing with 1 dice are 5/1, therefore with 9 dice 5/9
therefore odds AGAINST must be 9/5, shirley!
