As a percentage of GDP the NHS is 9 percent of the country's wealth expenditure.
National Insurance pays for a lot.

the rest of europe in comparable countries are getting a further two percent on average. But we have capped it.
So that's why the wheels are falling off - more privatization by the back door. Hamper it and then say it's not working.

France pays 11.7 percent
Germany pays 11 percent
Japan pays 10 percent
Belgium pays 11 percent
Austria pays 11 percent
USA pays 17 percent? for what?

There can be no doubt that the government is itching to use public money to line further the pockets of the rich
Report Dr Crippen • April 5, 2016 11:20 AM BST
Why blame this government for the state of the NHS when many of its funding problems stem from the PFIs set up by Labour?

This madness with the NHS trying to be a world health service is a big problem that needs addressing.
It wouldn't be long before that situation changed if the NHS were privatised.

I agree PFI was a mistake Dr Crippen...

but I do not accept we need to privatise it..or at least not without protection for the poor

There has been a sustained attack on the poor and public service by this government
which as a socialist I must disagree with

Although I admit my views do not always tally with the Labour party
on this, immigration and other issues

Don't worry Doc, it soon will be with companies in Panama holding us to ransom every time we cough.
