The 'juvenile' Bushell is not a patch on the previous presenter Rob Bonnet
who presented the programme with a touch of panache and gravitas. |

Regards Clouseau's list, he always seems to claim that every one of these sh1thole sports is the fastest growing in the country. LIke last year it was one fkin no mark tw.@t doing it and now he's got his mate doing it too. Bingo, 100% increase.

On another note, I was surprised to discover Nugent and Munchetty are married. Thought they were both Munchers. |

a very negative way to start the morning - their stories always seem to depress. skynews occasionally funny.
why is every presenter in a suit or evening dress? the weather people in the seventies showed up in wool jumpers... now in expensive dresses? why do we need to see the weather people anyway - just do a voice over with a coloured dot to show where the weather is. |
|
By:
Why on earth do you get a local weather forecast followed by a national weather forecast?

The gravy train in all its glory. The BBC has become a vehicle for the careers of educated people who fancy a cushy overpaid living. |

Wishy washy interviews on important subjects and no personal opinions whatsoever.

And why on BBC and Sky are the experts on whatever subject 90% women
|

Aw c'mon. Women are experts on everything. Some can even read autocues and say difficult words after they have tried them out a few times.

reading about mike bushell he really is a bit of a prat.
Bushell is half northerner half southerner, spending his teenage years in Yorkshire after growing up in Hertfordshire, attending Ashwell School where his father John was headmaster. When he was 8 he started his own newspaper, called the Daily Owl and sold it and delivered it to friends in the village for 1p. He once got into trouble for giving away his new Christmas present as a prize for a competition. He played chess for Hertfordshire and ran in the county cross country team. Bushell wrote an opera at the age of 11 and kept alive his musical ambitions later in two bands. In 1977 his family moved to Harrogate and he went to secondary school at Granby High School. He sometimes took a tape recorder to school to record the day's events. It was here during a production of Hobson's Choice that he first got the drama bug and played the part of Willie Mossop. He went on to join the National Youth Theatre. |

Did not Twisted Sister once have a song out along that line? |

Oh dear... Apparently Busted are on the couch later. I am fascinated to hear their views on the major issues facing the country but sadly I have recently acquired half a box of paper clips from a car boot sale and they aren't going to count themselves.

They never replied to my email I sent to Newswatch...
Hi, When I was watching the 6 o'clock news last night and then again on BBC Breakfast this morning I couldn't help but notice the Women's defeat in the cricket T20 World Cup was placed ahead of the fabulous men's semi final victory. This is in no way a sexist email, as I think its great we let women play cricket, however who is deciding its bigger news than the men's victory?! It's quite laughable that someone made a decision that the women's game was more noteworthy than the men's. Why did you do this? who makes you do these things? Clearly men's cricket is a million billion times more popular than the women's. Regards |

I cannot understand why with all their technical resources they cannot transmit the local news in HD .
Certainly in my region ( Meridian ) ITV do not have a problem |

BBC South has had two nights of special reports following a group from Oxford taking aid to and supporting people in the migrant camp ('Jungle') at Calais.
I say 'reports'. Basically it has been a PR exercise for the inhabitants of the camp, focussing exclusively on their living conditions and the difficulties they face. None of this can be denied by Western standards of living - but at no point was anyone ever questioned about the migrants choice to be there, there legal right to be there, why they have not engaged with the existing, well-tried refugee / asylum seeking process, why they have travelled across Europe to this place instead of seeking refuge in the first country of entry to Europe, the legality of their actions in trying to board trucks coming to the UK and what there expectations are from the British State when and if they get here. There is a well-trodden narrative to all these 'reports' and woe-betide anyone who deviates from it. |
|
By:
Some questions if anyone saw the Busted spot:
1) Are they in or out of the EU? 2) Did they have any useful insights into dealing with the migrant crisis? 3) How do they keep on getting a gig on the telly? |

Their standards have dropped because they now allow their male sports presenters to grow beards.
They're are way too many sports presenters anyway. |

I always describe Bushell as rather 'juvenile'which could lead to a promising career
in the BBC programme CBeebies. |
