According to data from worldbankorg, the murder rate in the USA is higher than every single country in Europe, save for some former Soviet Union member nations. Superpowers, eh?
I say America is not safe. |
|

without looking closely how they stats have been put together its useless, considering American people have the option to defend themselves with firearms ,so its not in any way shape or form a balanced stat .
Considering the amount of firearms in the states they come out very well in homicide stats ,thats why the anti gun lobby only compare the states gun crime with countries that dont have the same rights ,like comparing apples with fecking oranges . Of course your point is about Donald Trump ,and he is talking about terrorism ,which i suspect is something you dont want to talk about either . Bash on regardless though . |

Best you don't go there then Mikael. Spread the word there's a good lad. He don't want any Muslims and if his compatriots vote for him then that is democracy in action which is something we should celebrate surely?
It's a funny thing. America is ever so slowly descending into civility from barbarism as we go the other way. |

The most scared I have ever been , was when I got off at the wrong stop, and found myself in the south side of Chicago.
It was like a scene from Warriors, as I looked up the street and saw various groups of black teenagers who I was sure we're going to mug me, or worse. To my utter relief, a police car slowed down just as I reached them, and kept with me until I was in the next street. |

Not at all Brendan. There are also a few men of culture. But as with some of our own troubling foreigners any Americans seem less keen to import more. Who but the most stupid luvvie left winger would disagree?
|
|
By:
So nobody can produce any figures proving America is safer, then?
|
|
By:
thats a loaded question imo
|
|
By:
In what way is it loaded? I've given you my source which shows that the murder rate is higher in the US than in every single country in Western Europe.
Shouldn't be hard to disprove... |

that's right they dont have terrorist attacks in america, there were no shootings in san bernardino, no bombing in boston, no shootings at fort hood, no shootings at Chattanooga, the world trade center fell down of its own accord, etc, etc. and thats just the islamic terrorism.
they also have white supremacists going into black churches and mass murdering, anti abortion murders, antisemitism murders by whites, anti government extremists killing people, etc, etc. so we can only compare the murder rate in the usa to other countries that allow arms to be carried? i say hogwash. the murder rate in the usa should be compared to other rich western countries such as those in europe, australia, canada, new zealand, japan, etc (i dont know where this puts them). descending into civility with the two front runners in the republican race going after each others wives? imo trump is an autocratic bully but at least he doesnt want to carpet bomb countries he dislikes. on the other hand he wants more torture so hurrah for him, how very civilised. |

Trump says Europe is not safe.
How can anyone try and pick flies in that? Again in Brussels we see the terrorists in action. The whole of the EU is on terror alert. The UK has thwarted countless terror attacks, there are riots over immigration all over the EU. ''Swedish police have ceded control over 55 “no-go zones” to predominately Muslim criminal gangs.'' And that's without giving it much thought. And the loony left try to deflect the accusation by pointing to domestic murders in America? No wonder Europe is in such a mess with apologists like that around. |
|
By:
Let's see your murder rate stats, Cretin...
|
|
By:
And the loony left try to deflect the accusation by pointing to domestic murders in America?
Can't you read, arse hole? |
|
By:
I can. Europe is safer than the USA.
What precautions did you take today? |
|
By:
Let me explain this really simply for the hard of thinking like Jollyblaggard and Mikael. If you look at historical crime graphs up to the second world war there was a consistent and extremely low level of violent crime in this country. Following the war it began to accelerate and took off like a rocket in the 60's. America was a country born out of violence noted for its savagery and barbarism. Wave upon wave of violent crime was built upon immigration with those at the bottom often seeking to literally fight their way out.
So yes our society's are on different trains and whilst we may have started at Inverness and America in London we have headed towards each other for decades. The only real difference remaining is the right to bear arms. Which leads to a higher rate of murder in America which sees Mikael jumping up and down like a goon but also far higher general levels of civility if you aren't engaged in criminality especially drugs. |
|
By:
Shall we ignore the domestic murder rates. per Cretin's request, and concentrate on the number of victims due to terrorist atrocities?Obviously we need a decent enough sample size so let's use the figures from, say, 1st Jan 2001 onwards, giving us 15 years of data...

Are you more or less likely to die a violent death tomorrow if you lived in the UK or the USA, EO?
|
|
By:
breadnbutter 28 Mar 16 19:50 You would ,lets start 1970 No problem. As Thatcher said though, 'crime is crime is crime' so we'd need to include all gun deaths. My money is still on the Yanks. |
|
By:
I can see we'll get nowhere with Mikael whatever his name is.
He's obviously an apologist for terrorism. |
|
By:
I'm waiting for someone to prove that the US is safer than Europe. Should be easy enough, Cretin.

I can see we'll get nowhere with Mikael whatever his name is. He's obviously an apologist for terrorism. Using this logic, you must be an apologist for murder. |

Who are you trying to protect by playing down the situation in Europe Arse Hole?

why just gun deaths ?
we have already established its comparing apples with oranges |

Why do you want to see my face Cretin? If you have a crush on me, I should let you know, I'm married.

How many wives have you got Arse Hole?
|
|
By:
Are you more or less likely to die a violent death tomorrow if you lived in the UK or the USA, EO?
The US by a significant amount mikael. Equally in this country you are more likely to be mugged or stabbed. But you miss my point. America has always been a high crime country. We have only become so over the last 50 or so years beginning at an incredibly low point and shooting off in to the stratosphere. |
|
By:
But has it really descended to this? Older people brought up in a law abiding civilised country are now expected to be grateful that we don't yet have murder rates as high as the only country to go from barbarism to degeneracy without pausing for civility?
Really? |
|
By:
I don't miss your point at all, EO. You should acknowledge that in our rush to embrace American culture, we've become violent like them.
Dr Crippen 28 Mar 16 20:06 How many wives have you got Arse Hole? I have one wife, bell end. All I've ever had. She's of legal age too. |

But has it really descended to this? Older people brought up in a law abiding civilised country are now expected to be grateful that we don't yet have murder rates as high as the only country to go from barbarism to degeneracy without pausing for civility? Really? Not exactly, but when a c*nt like Trump says Europe isn't safe he ought to look at his own cesspit first. |
|
By:
You don't seem to accept that Europe isn't safe anymore.
All you can do is point to America as if you're trying to deflect attention away from Europe. |
|
By:
When was Europe safe?
