Forgot to add (and to support fife's comment) - THREE key points in tonka's 30 minutes. When he stopped thinking it would be good, when he thought it would be a crock etc and then when he finally decided that it was. Nearly as much tonka action in the first 30 mins as in the actual episode.

i do quite enjoy this but imo most british drama isnt up to much at all, unfortunately its a sea of mediocrity.
only last year did i discover the pleasure of nordic noir: the killing, borgen and the bridge are miles ahead of anything we have.

Great for those of us who are familiar with the back stories of Lindsay Denton and Dot Cottan but I'm not sure what new viewers will make of some of the sub-plots.
