His first and last.

Tim Roth was brilliant

Neeson got the role when Spielberg heard he loved making lists.

Agree about Tim Roth. Stole the whole film for me..

was he the SS sniper

Wrong filum, x..

The music to it is good.

Actors are ten-a-penny.

who was the SS sniper

Amon Goth.

Ralph Fiennes

Forty percent of the film was shot with handheld cameras

Philadelphia: Tom Hanks won the oscar

Great film, brilliant acting. And ( quite rightly ) Bruce Springsteen won the Oscar for Best Original Score.

A friend of mine worked on the production of Schindler's List.

Sorry - I meant he worked on the production line at Schindler's Lifts.

Tumbleweed

A truly unforgettable and harrowing film.

Brilliantly made and engrossing.

Have never been able to watch it twice though

I never got got the part when they were showering--never saw any gas

They - and you the audience - were absorbed in the absolute horror to experience preparation for what they had been told   - to be gassed inside a shower room.
So their hair is shorn, they are stripped naked and herded like cattle into a shed. The doors slam, the lights are extinguished. The horror of knowing you were about to die a horrible death.

And then water comes out of the shower heads   - not gas, but water. This time it was a shower, it was just a shower. For them, just for them.

Hollywood does portray the truth then? ........ sometimes

A very fine film indeed. A bit of trivia, Tim Roth lived three doors from me in Dulwich and I used to fleece him of his pocket money on a regular basis playing three card brag. He was a very good chap.

Probably why he looks so píssed off in every film he makes..

You created an acting genius, Slips..
