This time i am trying to find out why the volume on my new Samsung 5000 fluctuates when i change channels. I get cable TV from a good provider and this doesn't happen on my older JVC which is in another room. We brought the TV back to the Philippines from Oman, so complaining to the supplier is pointless.
Some channels are 'shockingly' loud and others normal. They all remain constant, so we are prepared for the attack on our ears when we change over!  Would this be simple to regulate for a TV technician?  Thanks.

Have a fiddle with the settings, JonHig.

I remember when I bought my last tv that by looking into the 'menu' and then 'settings' there was a thing you could click to regulate the volume so that it was even on every channel, and also that it didn't blow your ears off when the adverts came on.

Can't remember what the actual control thing's name was - but 'having a fiddle' is always the way to go with these technoilogical contraptions!

I had a 'fiddle' TT and went into Auto Sound which improved it somewhat but still a bit iffy.  Can't find anywhere to regulate the thing tho.  Anyway thanks!Grin
