How is there a case against the RSPCA?
If she was in their care and somebody wanted her, they would assume the person would care for her, they can't keep all dogs Whoever this poor bitch was with, either cared little or was totally incapable of looking after her, very serious neglect |
|
By:
ASSUME, is the operative word, Mungo.
they would assume - your words. |
|
By:
Went to a refuge center the Other day, some of the poor dogs have serious Issues ,will take some Re homing

It's not the 70's anymore.
We're not still living In The Summertime! I live next to where these RSPCA ****kers works and I see how they operate. I speak with their people. I ASSUME NOTHING! |

|
By:

Where are you complaints against the RSPCA? |
|
By:
your
|
|
By:
They are a self serving and self righteous institution who are only in it for their own gain. Much like the SNP, actually.
They promise much, play with our heartstrings and should be put down. I am talking about their Chiefs obviously not the volunteers they have suckered in to their paypot. |
|
By:
^ tho some of them should be put down with them ... especially the SNP ones!

"Wounded Dog Found Abandoned And Tied To A Gate"
Sounds like a chapter in a Western novel about the unfortunate circumstances of an Indian chief. |
|
By:
It's not the headline, it's the RSPCA response, FFS!!!
|
|
By:
AND - microchipping!
I heard the other day over 80% dog owners have their dogs chipped. Shirley not? |
|
By:
I am still not with you Trilby..but I can see you are angry
The RSPCA have to be informed of animal neglect before they can act I hope she finds the good home she deserves |

By:
It's gonna be THE LAW on 6th April ... or thereabouts.

HOW??? I have just proved dogchipping does not work! |
|
By:
It is a cat's nature...if they were in the wild, they have to, to eat
and an awful lot are strays, abandoned by owners ![]() I give up trilby I have no idea what you are saying????????????????? |
|
By:
I am saying you have sh!t for brains.
HTH & no offence intended. |
|
By:
I would say you have sh!t for brains myself trilby
I intend offence as well ![]() I am not a great fan of the RSPCA myself but where in your OP are the RSPCA at fault???????? |
|
By:
At a loss at what the RSPCA have done wrong.
|
|
By:
Animals are microchipped for identification.
Obviously when the dog got a new owner the change wasn't recorded so the owners can't be traced. Aren't there plans to make it law for all dogs to be microchipped soon? Best of luck with that one. |
|
By:
The chip records the last known owners details, does it not? The Law says the details must be kept upto date, does it not?
Thereby, why isn't that person being hunted down in this case? The Rspca may be ok (though I doubt it) but the SSPCA are corrupt koonts. Driving around having jollies in brand new liveried vehicle that donations have paid for. W4ankers ![]() No offence taken, btw, MungoGery ![]() |

A good job too HOW??? I have just proved dogchipping does not work! Of course it does, you complete ignoramus. |
|
By:
Microchipping law comes in April 2016.
You reckon anyone would be able to trace ownership from toerag to toerag in any case? |
|
By:
The Law says the details must be kept upto date, does it not?
Not yet it doesn't. It's not law to chip them until April. |
|
By:
Same with everything loads and loads of knee-jerk reaction laws being passed.
The laws are rarely practical enough to be enforced, even if there were sufficient manpower to do so. |
|
By:
''The change in the law will be effective from 6 April 2016. Any owner whose dog is found without a chip and can be traced by local authorities will have a short period of time to have the dog microchipped.''
So most people will wait until their dog is found without a chip before they bother having it done. I see it as an unnecessary expense and inconvenience for people who keep a dogs. |
|
By:
What's next, regular visits to the vets for pets and check ups like MOTs for cars?
We won't be able to go for a walk in the park soon without a permit or a license. |
|
By:
Surely landlords must take some responsibility for the welfare of their tenants pets?
|
|
By:
What!
Pets in private rented property? Pets are NOT allowed under any circumstances. |
|
By:
It is not very expensive micro chipping
A pet owner takes on a moral responsibility for any pet they own, to ensure its need are met If an animal, is ill treated or neglected and dumped like the dog in the OP then the owner can be traced It is not perfect, but better than nothing |
|
By:
What will happen is that the responsible dog owners will have to go to the trouble of getting their dogs chipped, but most people won't bother until they're caught.
Certainly the people that the legislation is trying to target won't take much notice of it. Old people keeping a pet certainly won't go to the trouble of chipping their mutts either. And the authorities aren't going to give them a hard time over it. |
|
By:
It's against the law to keep a dangerous dog.
I see dangerous dogs on the streets every day. |
|
By:
Well maybe Dr Crippen....I still think it is a good thing
|
|
By:
I regret the rise in pit bill breeds...but young men like them, a pity???????????????????
Once these dogs get their teeth into someone they never let go I no longer have a dog, mobility problems, but I now have a cat, he is chipped The only danger my cat poses is to my furniture ![]() |
