Admitted to me earlier that they put the price of cigarettes up after 11pm as people are p issed?
I complained that he charged me £10.50 for 20 and he said lucky you were here before 11 as my boss wouldve charged £12 after 11pm.
Surely this aint right? Do i buy cigarettes before and after 11 them complain? B astards

The easy solution is to shop elsewhere.

That's the last thing a shopkeeper wants.

I've seen a similar thing with fuel prices at garages. I pass a garage at about 6.30pm and on the return route at about 11.45pm the price has risen 2p per litre. The next morning the price has dropped back down again.

Working unsociable hours is generally compensated in some way. Perhaps the hourly rate is increased in order to attract employees. This might well result in price increases.

Is that by any chance the newsagent that's owned by a German bloke? I upset him when I asked to see his papers.

Its the little shop opposite yates.

Whatever happened to just asking the shopkeeper to explain it to you? Why is everybody so eager to accuse others of wrong-doing? Just ask him ffs!

£1.50 extra on a packets of snouts?

Try pulling that one in The Midlands and he'd be firebombed.

Report curious-cat • January 24, 2016 1:41 PM GMT
using 11pm is arbitrary

they should breath test the customers Devil

prepareds83. So, you didn't proceed to the next step which would be to ask him to ask his boss for the reason WHY.
Then you would all know the rules and wouldn't have to ask or moan again. Confused

I'll make sure i ask next time i'm in town and will report back to you
Report Dr Crippen • January 24, 2016 2:31 PM GMT
Shouldn't need to enquire.
He should have everything priced up and any special prices for special times should be displayed.
Report naydam • January 24, 2016 4:32 PM GMT
They probably are.

prepared83. Thank you for that. I await your reply with great interest.
