They look a bit silly but I don't judge people by them.Plenty of good eggs sport them.

They look bloody horrible - especially on women.

I'll take a bet that tattooist removers are making far more money than tattooists - and if not at present, most definitely in the near future.

Especially the splodgy ones above the arse crack. Tramp Stamps as they're known in the trade.

They're all vile on women.

Even if a woman isn't very good looking the least thing she could consider is someone having a scrawl in indelible ink in her body.
Do they really think it makes them MORE attractive?

Just what the hell are they thinking about?

Insane.

agree they look terrible on women especially on legs ! so if an arm tattoo costs around 300 some of these kids must be spending a couple of grand on backs necks and legs...crazy

You don't see many intelligent folk sporting them.

These gossipy, judgemental, bitchy women don't gather together to pour scorn over photos of people, whether celebrities or 'friends', and say "Wow, look at the tatts on that!" do they?

Nor do any men, as far as I know.

It's one of the biggest mysteries of the 21st century - just like people eating McDonalds muck.

I agree wiv Tommy.

I fackin hate them. There's a really cute girly on Babestation who has the backs of her thighs tattooed to fack (i kid ye not)

Sounds like a departure from the classy lass typically shown on Babestation.

That's hardly true Easter. Zelda, a forumite from a few years back was covered in them, apparently, and she was as bright as a button, as well as being an extremely conpassionate lady.

Guinness, to me it just shouts out "I'm thick, I am." Whenever I see a woman with one.

They might not be - but that's the first impression you get, and we all know how much first impressions count.

To bugger your body up with something so permanent must mean you're bloody thick actually though.

If you fancy a tattoo, why not just scrawl something on your body with a felt pen and not wash that area for a week or two and see what you think of it then?

So simple, it's unbelievable why people don't think about doing it first before they desecrate their bodies.

Although not as bad, I think piercings can also ruin the looks of a beautiful woman. In the ears fine, but in the cheeks and around the mouth? They also leave marks when removed, so once done it's a permanent disfigurement

Ought to be compulsory on face for sex offenders, burglars, robbers

And anybody I don't like ... keep tattooists fully employed for 20 years!

someone said to me i should become a tattooist as i was a graphic artist? As someone who personally hates tattoos I just agreed and moved on.
tattoos were the mark of the slave in past centuries. slaves and sex workers were tattooed, the chinese still tattoo their sex workers as a mark of ownership.

Can't imagine having one myself but so many of them seem to be badly executed. I suppose you have to pay top dollar for the best tattooist.

I know nothing about tattoos but do they chrge depending how big an area they have to cover ...

for example, if Cheryl Cole wanted a rose on her @rse then that's a much different proposition than if Diane A turned up for one ... must cost £thousands.

the high cost is a status symbol amongst peasants. I recall someone with an arm tattoo saying it was like a permanent £1500 accessory

hitler and stalin must be furious, after all the effort he went to, turns out now everyone voluntarily hands over ALL their personal information on facebook and not only go in to get themselves tattooed but are even happy to pay for it.

Well done Tommy on those bravura comments. Absolutely revolting to see ANY tattoos at the best of times, worst of all of course on a woman. (Apart from that sexy darts walk-on girl who has "I Worship Alun2005 and Count Ted equally" tattooed on her pert derriere, naming no names).

I don't doubt that benefit payments have funded a fair sized proportion of the tattoos committed to skin this last 20 years or so. Now we have the reality of the taxpayer also paying for the removal of them. How insane is that?

You see, our already overstretched International Health Service is funding some tattoo removal. Widely reported over the last few years, an example link below.
