Or does it just confirm polticians really do have their heads up their a*ses!
Possibly the most idiotic comment of the year from guess who - a politician.
Belgium’s immigration minister tried to calm popular fears over the Cologne sex attacks by ordering new migrants to face mandatory “respect for women” courses.
I say best he, his wife and daughter give the course and see how it goes !
Be thankful that at least they are beginning to realise that these people won't integrate in to their new society of their own accord and that 'some' of their beliefs may clash with our values.

Why is the politicians are always playing catch up? Can they NEVER see things coming? Or is it that they don't want to see.
At least our Slovakian and Czech friends have more sense.
“The idea of multicultural Europe has failed,” proclaimed Robert Fico, the prime minister of Slovakia, calling for an extraordinary summit of EU leaders next week to discuss fresh reports of migrant-led sex attacks emerging from Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria and Finland. Bohuslav Sobotka, his Czech counterpart, immediately echoed the call.
“The migrants cannot be integrated, it's simply impossible,” Mr Fico added, citing a “clear link” between the sex attacks and the influx of refugees that has swept through Europe from the failed states of Syria and North Africa.

Most politicians are concerned with retention of power rather than the welfare of the electorate - hence short-termism, saying what people want to hear rather than anything approaching the truth and the kind of measured, political double-speak we hear time and again
The electorate would far rather hear fairy stories ('we'll cut the national debt but invest record sums in the NHS', I mean do these people ever actually listen to themselves?)than the truth.
From either end of the political spectrum, you get someone like Corbyn or Farage who tries to do things moderately differently and they are jumped on for their 'inconsistent line' or 'being unelectable' or 'being off message' dee dah dee dah.
