Another classic I've never seen. I saw Its A Wonderful Life for the first time this xmas, it was well worth the wait.
Is this ? |

Apparently
I like a lot of old great films but I also couldn't get into it. I should give it another ago. I remember being impressed with it technically, but the rest just made me faintly queasy for some reason. |

Love Citizen Khan. Adil Ray a cracking actor, Sparkhill mosque is where it's at.

No bangs, no flashes, no fights, no guns, no car chases, no sex scenes and it's got a plot.
The opera bit is very good too. Bernard Herrmann's Opera Music from Citizen Kane https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJRDpPDAzYY |

Yes Roger, never a 1/100 shot. I felt 1/14 was about right.

I've just watched this film for the first time and have to say I was mightily underwhelmed.
After seeing reference to it in critics' write ups of cinema in the past I was expecting something special but I. Affraid I can't help think either it was too smart for me or the film was just 5hit. Yes I've noted each of the parts of the film that were notable enough for reviewers to deconstruct the 'ism' looking for substance but I'm still left thinking 'so what?' |

I thought it was really good when first watched it a few years ago. You can also catch it on Iplayer as well.
