Helped Mrs mememe to wrap some presents up earlier this week and fooking sellotape had a mind of its own.

Tore a bit off and before I could place it neatly on to wrapped pressie, the fookin stuff just attached itself to the nearest thing, usually the pressie I was attempting to wrap, but in the wrong place.  Grandchildren will be getting pressies with more sellotape on them than wrapping paper.  Will take them ages to unwrap their ppressie ... won't I be popular?Scared
Report Aunty Post • December 22, 2015 2:25 PM GMT
Why, oh why, do I buy presents that are too big, and misshapen to be acceptably wrapped?

I bought my son a "Hang Glider" and don't know where to start!

1. When I go to the shop over the next few days there will be people there tripping over themselves. You'd think they weren't going to open ever again.

2. All the programmes I like will not be on over Christmas. Also the times of the regular news etc will be on at completely different times.

3. No newspapers on Christmas Day.

GrinSounds like my Grandmother, Woodnbines and Sweet Afton, I left Dublin in 1960, went back for various periods, but I really am too old (67) to hear new chimes. I went over for the 2000 Derby and stayed at the Shelbourne, way out of reach when I was growing up, what a sh1tehole, was there 45 minutes checked in, checked out the dining room etc, etc, and the first Dub voice I heard was on leaving the hotel, and turning right towards Grafton St. FFS.

Been back many time since, It's not the same to me anymore, stuck in the past I suppose.Sad
