Postie £10? Binmen nothing ... just come as far as pavement and put wheelie bin on to machine - not like the old days No paper, no paper boy Butcher ... Sainsburys Coal man ... no such thing these days, is there? Milkman ... Sainsburys Window Cleaner ... nothing ... he's expensive enough.
Have I missed anybody? Fook me, no wonder Christmas was so expensive ... and that's without the butler, gardener, maid and chauffeur
Binmen used to get a good tip from me, carrying metal bin on their shoulder from the back of the house to tip into the truck. Now if it's not on the pavement at the prescribed time you're f00ked. No tip from me

My binmen will rummage through my bin to find any reason NOT to take it. I've had more arguments with them this year than I have with my missus.
I gave the forklift drivers at work 200 f@gs each and a bottle of Gin. That'll be it this year.

Always give the bin men a tip, usually along the lines of "Please pick up the litter that you leave, as a trail behind you"!
Funny that you said about the coal man, as I was going to post a couple of days ago that I saw the first one in ages!
Then, a bit like buses where two come at the same time, I saw another one yesterday!
