Visited a shop in London yesterday to have a bet on the football. Reading the racing post when I heard a commotion behind me. Someone was playing FOBT and he was shouting at people for watching him, he was also at the counter seemed like every 10 mins using his card to feed the machine. No idea what he was playing but shouting was getting louder then he started banging the machine and picked up a chair and threw it across the shop prior to leaving. Asked staff how much he lost to which the reply was 'not much", not sure I believed her. Anyway shop will be losing customers if the company doesn't put a stop to the behaviour prior to it escalating. I get the impression that the company are happy to accept this behaviour as they will lose it all then leave.
to be honest, if he was losing alot im not surprised he got annoyed at people watching him play, ive had times in the bookies where ive put in some coins (only put in loose change, never notes) and ive had people stand literally right behind me peering over my shoulder watching me do a £4 spin or whatever and it pissed me off no end, no idea why they do it

The ones watching I guess are the ones who have done all their dough previously. Seriously though why would anyone have a bet when the other party involved already knows and dictates the answer. Think Chapman said on the Sunday Forum that 1.6 billion last year was profit , yes profit.

There was a fella used to go in my local shop, would do his benefit money every tuesday in about an hour then spend the rest of the week advising people playing fobts which number would come up next according to his 'system'.On the few occasions the number came up he'd muscle in to the machine & start pressing random numbers & when the player cashed in would expect a cut.Rarely go in the shop these days, but i heard someone had put the annoying **** in hospital.
