Clouseau, it's true Basil had a 'dark side' when it came to chicks (not the Kenny mann variety) Tony brushed it under the carpet, but after he fell out of favor it was open season on Basil.

There was a time in the late 80's and early 90's when Tony Slattery was never off the telly. Then drug and alcohol abuse led to mental health issues. He has done a few minor bits and pieces since but unlike his contemporaries at Cambridge who are all still very successful his career seems to have ended.
