People may mock but this is a catchphrase that advertising execs would kill for.

Whoever said it, and whatever religion they have, summed it up in 5 words and it could be gold dust.

Let's print the T-shirts and give law abiding members of that community, and all others who support them, the chance to come out and publicly express the disgust that they feel for those who undermine their religion and hide behind them in the name of it.

This is the French solution.
Hold hands, hold candles and hold signs but don't take them on.
Printing infantile t shirts is what the appeasers will do.

With Marine Le Pen winning the regional elections in France there is a chance something might be done,France might get some courage.

First thing to be done is to stop importing religion of peace members.

How about just not importing anymore of them.
How about deporting a large swathe of them.
Funny thing about these gentlemen is they can't wait to mosey from Muslim countries to non Muslim countries but when they get there want to turn their new countries into Muslim ones.

No nothing like Christians.

Christian religions believe in conversion, the religion of peace believes in conquest and have the decency to constantly remind us but our European elite just don't want to believe them.

We lived in Tehran in the late '70s and local shopkeepers brought Christmas trees in for the ex-pats.  All very straightforward and civilised.

Christ, their god even laid on some snow so we could have a white christmas ... but it didn't come until early January!
Still, a damn fine effort in my opinion by somebody's god.

Fine mussies over there at the time ... a little bit mad (self flagellation, sheep killing in city centre, etc) ... but many joined in with the fun - drinking, smoking, ladies in very western dress.  What changed?

The only slight problem being that the Jihadists are not heretics, in any reasonable sense they are the true Muslims acting in strict accordance with Islamic teaching. To talk of Islamic extremism is tautological. Islam is extreme. Period. Ill informed sympathisers can misquote Surah 5:32 (relates specifically to the Jews) until their a**ses turn blue and it won't change that. Clearly the majority of Muslims are decent and peaceful people but the fact that they are is in spite of and not because of the teachings of the Quran and hadith which are (on the whole) the teachings of abject barbarity and filth.

I wish the media would explain to population what Islam actually teaches.

exactly, the establishment religions wont attack islam for being silly as it opens them up to same accusation.

Wearing dresses and performing strange rituals, being authority about what is "right" and "wrong" by studying obscure texts written in strange language

I always laugh when people come on and quote the bible which is largely irrelevant to most of us then you compare it to the qur'an.
You have to realise that to a good muslim it is the law. It is not a religion but more a political movement.

So you don't think Christians are guided by The Bible mobo ?
How odd.
By:

When: 07 Dec 15 13:44
No it is people like you who try to make comparisons between the two books

to muslims what the qur'an says is the law - they are follower first, second and last above the laws of a country if neccessary.

that is the difference

whereas most people who live in most so called christian countries do not regard it as law and in fact rarely even consult the book

the bible (in its way) lays down original pagan beliefs of how a society can conduct itself without chaos ie muder, coveting, stealing etc

the rest of it (the god bit) is pure superstition

hope this helps

The concepts of Jihad and martyrdom are central and specific to the Quran, this is the fundamental problem. There is no real equivalency in the Bible. Hence, as bonkers as much of the Bible is you don't have a seemingly inexhaustible supply of Christians willing to blow themselves up amongst fields of non-combatants.

Brendanuk1 ...

if you fart in the mosque you have to go out an wash again

what, everybody? ... if so you wouldn't be popular ... what with the smell an' all.  And what do you have to wash?

Perhaps you wouldn't admit it was you and just look accusingly at the next guy ... bit like school assemblyMischief

Perhaps in a literal sense but not as conventionally interpreted.  The ideology underpinning these bast@rds is a perverted, grotesque re-interetation.

Very silly comparing a religion that has progressed through the enlightenment and reformation with one that remains stubbornly unreformed.

Oz ... maybe you could remind me what the penalty for apostasy is in the majority of Muslim countries? Literally or conventionally ... Mischief

How many christians pray 5 times a day? And even to those who may do, what would happen if they didn't?

guinness ...

I pray a lot, most days ... depends on if it's a close finish

Then it's a "thank you, god" or more usually "fook you, god ... why, why, why - why couldn't you, just this once?"
