Lenny Henry at 18.  Coloured orange which stands for "talent".  This list is the biggest pile of w.ank since, well the last time the guardian published a similar sort of list.

"Women on the rise, but much still to do on diversity".

the list is horrendous Crazy

A truly excruciating event in the history of publishing. Hard to know whether to laugh or cry at it.

The self-regard and self-aggrandisement of this industry has few peers.

And yes, Number 18 is quite a stretch.  I see that in 2014 he hilariously reached Number 8, which I can only assume was subsequently dealt with in the Guardian 'Corrections and Clarifications' column.

Corbyn at 100 is ironic when you consider they have a minimum of 5 stories a day undermining him.

Someone posted in the comments "Your list is sh1t and full of w@nkers" Laugh
Report rob_dylan • November 30, 2015 4:40 PM GMT
That sounds like something I would post but I couldn't find the comments section.

When it comes to ethnic diversity, the situation is far worse with less than 10% of the top 100 from BAME backgrounds.

wtf is "BAME" I thought, though the general sentiment was obvious.  I could guess B="black", A = "Asian" or "And" or "African".  So googled it and this was the first article:

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/may/22/black-asian-minority-ethnic-bame-bme-trevor-phillips-racial-minorities

tw@ts paper and no mistake.

Lenny Henry at 18, what's he learned to read and write?
Report Foinavon • November 30, 2015 5:15 PM GMT
Surprising that Diane Abbott isn't on the list. She is on t'telly quite often and is from a BAME background.
Report Foinavon • November 30, 2015 5:16 PM GMT
She's also a better comedian than Lenny.
Report Racingqueen • November 30, 2015 5:41 PM GMT
the top 3 are pure excrement but the rest is just made up.....they ran out of names after the top 3 and just started naming anyone that came to mind

4 George Osbourne
100 Jeremy Corbyn

So where are David Cameron, and given the random Americans in there, Barack Obama, or to a lesser extent, any other major world leader.

Good point. What a bollocks list.

From then very same day on the Guardian website, more ludicrous agonising about "lack of diversity", this time in a movie.

.
http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/nov/30/gods-of-egypt-director-and-studio-apologise-for-lack-of-diversity

I'm hoping against hope that Tuesday's edition of The Guardian is going to fearlessly investigate the lack of diversity amongst the ice-cream men selling their wares in the vans around these parts. Haven't seen a single LGBT/BAME/Ethnic Minority person driving an ice cream van in this neighbourhood all the time I've lived here, or for that matter in any of the other UK towns I've lived in.  Why isn't Positive Discrimination taking place to ensure that our ice cream isn't being sold with that all-important added vibrancy?
Report Clouseau • December 1, 2015 8:17 AM GMT
If they do take up in the frozen confectionery game, alun, they get shunned by their own kind and called "choc ices"... Black on the outside, white on the inside.Shocked
