Could be OK?

I'd agree with dunlaying.

I've always loved the French word(s) for them - 'pommes de terre en robe de chambre.'

Apples of the earth in their dressing gowns. Love

Scoop out the filling add chopped spring onions, fried mushrooms and cooked chopped bacon to the potato,, mash up , only a little bit. Back in the skin and cover with grated cheddar. Under the grill for a couple of mins, heaven.
Bit of a faff though!

I've not had one in years.
I've a memory of buying one and eating it in the street and sort of trying to gnaw bits out of tin foil, must've been on holiday.

"5.  Veg and gravy."
That sounds good, I'll have to try that.

Sweetcorn is gods "how fast is your bowel" food.

I don't normally eat it but when I do, it's fantastic to see it again coming out.

It convinces me my lower bowel is still my lower bowel, and not in a quantum time-loop with someone else.

Which is a thing, and a real medical condition.

Definitely going to have a go at paulypaul's recipe. Sounds good.

Sultan

Gently fry mushrooms, spring onion and bacon/lardons first. Important not to scoop out potato and mash but just mix and break it up a bit.
I'm having this tonight cos I keep reading this thread!

Prawn Marie-rose not for me on a jacket, just iceberg lettuce. Horses for courses though. Bloody love food, me.

Delicious...but I've eaten to much and my guts hurt..Tongue Out

I have recently started to buy baking specific spuds, you know the really big ones, but I still need two and I reckon if you get desiree ones they are even better but they are even smaller and you need about four of them.  Gonna go back to buying a 2kg bag of roosters red ones and chucking a load of them in the oven.
