begging jr drs to get back round the table, what would his stance have been if 49% of dr,s had voted for it,takes some doing to get 98% of people voting for industrial action
Sounds like Hunt is just trying to get them back to working like doctors before blair caved into the BMA and let them work Monday to Friday then freelance saturday and sunday on agency work at 2 grand a day.No wonder they are upset, the BMA and doctors have privatised the health service for themselves.

Unbelievable greed from the doctors. They should be ashamed of themselves for holding the government to ransom, using the health and lives of weak and vulnerable people as something to bargain with.
I thought GPs were bad enough with.

I know of at least one junior doctor making over a grand a day freelancing on weekends as a locum. I also know of one agency owner that has a million pound mortgage based on the earnings the NHS gives out to them for supplying locums, the system is crazy with german doctors flying over here for weekends.

the money for locuming is crazy.
but if junior doctors become unhappy with how they're being remunerated, more will turn to locuming costing the nhs more in the long run. development is also a problem with those who locum. so our junior doctors end up costing more and developing less.

It's about time the public sector gravy train hit the buffers. They've been getting far too much since Labour lined their pockets for them. Labour gave them more money for fewer hours, and they didn't even have to ask for it.

It's amazing how the lefties always side with those getting very high pay compared to what they get themselves, when the government tries to cut back. Yet they're the ones who are always going on about inequality.
They seem very confused about what they actually want.
