It is not about capatilism, it is about building peaceful countries that respect the freedom of the individual. Human rights are universal and there are different political ideals, and religious...but peace and the right to life and freedom of expression and democratic values are universal...if these countries cannot start to understand then the fault is theirs.
|
|
By:
here we have a direct attack on a 'democratic' country - peaceful civilians killed by the dozen by Islamists who hate the west and its various secular status. Until we understand that Islam is counter to that and we have been at war with it for a very long time, we understand very little. We are all dirt as infidels and have no rights. Please understand this is the normal veiwpoint of a good muslim.

The question is by admitting their are differences between the two should we have assumed it was a worthwhile concept to instill our values if their were different?
To say it has nothing to do with capitalism is wrong, since our politicans couldnt give a phook about the well being other than euphemism used from time to time to show they are humans, the reason they were interested in those countries was the money holed up in em. Wernt so sharpe sorting the rest of the genocides in mainland africa were we? |

Don't be diverted by all this chat about assets etc. If the western imperialists had done nothing in 100 years you will have still had the islamic problem.
|
|
By:
the biggest issue here is western foreign policy. the US, GB and the west are utterly clueless and short term in all their foreign policies. The west see middle easterners as great people who somehow have the misfortune of living under dictatorships. The truth is the complete opposite. People in general get the leaders they deserve. Hussein, Gadaffi etc came to power because the citizens they ruled allowed it.
|
|
By:
well theres truth in that mobo, youd likely still have the 'difference' issue and people are cautious of difference so some nutters would still have done some things.
But giving them a common enemy cant have helped with the numerous occasions the 'west' abused them in one form or another |

now we are off to africa to divert and obfuscate good one!!!

They knew there was a generation of dumb politicians, media luvvies, and the Human Rights Industry all in place to make that process easy. The voices of the concerned citizen were dismissed as 'racist', 'narrow' 'bitter' etc. There is even one poster on the Chit Chat Forum who vowed he would offer his home to a "Refugee", sight unseen, even if there was no way of knowing whether said 'refugee' was a Wannabe Terrorist or an Actual Rapist. Apparently, it's the only 'moral and humanitarian' thing to do. |

Racingqueen is correct up to a point. The problem is we are very lucky in the west and our democracy and freedoms are not something that were guaranteed. There is a very good chance that everything can be destroyed...many people, a very high percentage are insane, in Britain and in some countries it is a very big medical problem.

Given the governments will not reverse this multiculturalism, its only a matter of time before something more serious happens.
Western societies are being forced together with people who are made to internalise their own personal conflict, that may be due to race or religion. While it will be difficult for these people to organise themselves into an effective conventional armed force, when we look at other attack vectors like biological warfare or I.T. systems linked to strategic areas, it only takes for a privatised company to let in the wrong person and thousands will be annihilated. |

The ease with which they have arrested someone in germany makes you wonder how they manage to do it so quickly and what they already knew.

Why would he be carrying a passport?
That stinks I'm afraid. Bit like when the Yanks 'found' a passport of one of the hijackers on the ground after 9/11. The strong possibility is that these nutters were French nationals. And that goes right to the heart of the immigration **** up. |
|
By:
You have to carry official French id papers or a passport at all times in France... maybe he didn't want to answer any awkward questions en route as French police can stop people at any time.

WARSAW (Reuters) - Poland cannot accept migrants under European Union (EU) quotas after the attacks in Paris, Poland's European affairs minister designate Konrad Szymanski said on Saturday, in a sign that Friday's assault may seriously undermine EU refugee policy.
In a commentary published in the right-leaning news portal wPolityce.pl, Szymanski said his incoming government did not agree with Poland's commitment to accept its share of an EU-wide relocation of immigrants, and now, "in the face of the tragic acts in Paris, we do not see the political possibilities to implement (this)." |

You've got to love how no matter what happens in the world, certain types of peole always try and turn it around and blame it on the US or the West.
If "the west" liberated Denmark from a dictator a decade ago, they sure as hell wouldn't be attacking us for it, they'd be rebuilding and gratsful. Place the blame where the blame lies - with people across 1000s of miles of the world who like doing this sort of thing as they believe a book of mad fairytales tells them to. |
