Hitchens played an absolute blinder for the Left until midway through the second half and then reverted to type with his usual immigrant rant (it was like kevin nolan's predictable annual 'christmas off with the kids' red card) LaughLaugh

Hitchen's speaks as he sees it and is in tune with more of the general public than most politicians will ever be. He summarised the mess in Syria very well and it would be madness to ignore the impact of mass immigration on housing shortages.

Has the country moved so far that Hitchens logical views no longer represent the majority view or is it the intelligentsia and nutters who refuse to listen to what the people want on so many issues?

I hate the phrase "political correctness" but you can't help but think it really is as bad as the nutcases make out : people can't say what they think or what is obvious due to a mass pressure not to say what is not "correct".

Personally, I think it's gone madLaugh.

I dont think it is mass pressure , more of a highly focussed but narrow minded group determined to have their voice heard above others.
