I thought "they" had cracked down on this but it gets worse every year!!

Last night it seems "Halloween" was a good reason to spunk some cash!

Off we go again now, as it's the weekend before "Bonfire Night" and so we have "Bonfire Night" to look forward to, and then the weekend after "Bonfire Night",
followed by a few cretins who still have money to burn!!!!

Also just saw a sign for a fireworks display on 6th November! What the **** is the justification behind that?

Diwali is around the same time as Bonfire Night, and the combined effect is to smear fireworks over a fortnight or so.

When I was a kid I loved fireworks so no surprise
that todays youngsters also love them. The difference
however is the fireworks now are ten times as powerful
and of course much noisier.

Left London after 55 years, I now live in Dunchurch (Rugby) and it's brilliant, just a few minutes each night, barely noticeable.Happy

Ever get in The Green Man, foxy?

Yes Kenny, it's a bit cliquey though. No surprise for a small village I suppose. There is a tunnel under the main road going from the Green man to (the claimed)Guy Fawkes house. the house was actually A pub The Red Lion in his day, and there is no proof that he ever set foot in it despite claims to the contrary.

My mate was in there a while ago, had been attending some nearby boat rally.I remember the name as there's a Green Man, near me. He had a meal, was most impressed.

Did you know there are firework clubs/associations etc - they pay a fortune to set off this stuff - the bigger the better -  I was invited to one (probably to set fire to me)  - I remember it well - I fell in a big ditch  AND I WAS SOBER!!!

It fu**in' amazes me that in the la-la-, nanny land we now live in nobody has done anything to stop fireworks being left off in private back gardens.

People who use fireworks in their back garden that should only be for public display are selfish, idiotic morons. Animals are terrified and the peace is disturbed for many, many humans.

Why on earth these dangerous, stupid, messy things are still allowed outside of public displays is beyond me.

The morons who live a short way from me have just had a display lasting 30 minutes that was like a miniature version of WW1. Not even Bonfire tonight but these dumb ba*tards don't care. So, tomorrow when I find their debris in my garden I will be bagging it up and putting it on their front doorstep.

Totally ridiculous tradition that I hope dies out sooner rather than later...and then Halloween to follow.

local Parish Council where I live is closing the PUBLIC Park on Sunday and you can only enter if you pay.  They are having a Bonfire Night event on SUNDAY 8th November.

I feel they should be told that Bonfire Night is on the 5th.

Anyway, why do we have to have lots of Bonfire Nights????

Next thing is we'll be having Christmas Day from 22 Dec to 28.

And a New Years day on Jan 1, 2 and 3.

Hope it pi$$es down ... maybe god will get mad and sort it - about time he did something useful.Angry

Laugh. What a bunch of fairies! It's loud ****g bangs for 1 week of the year and the chit chatters are pissing their pants and upset that their wee dugs shudders are shakin. Just as well folks were made of sterner stuff during the Blitz.

I hate the damn things, but a big mystery to me is how people can afford it. A lot of money for a few seconds exitement doesn't seem worth it.

Well it's dark, and it's 16:50, so expecting lift off any time soon.

Last year some tw@t, not that far away, let off something that could be felt and seen as well as heard.

Must have cost £50.00, and terrified the horses, so luckily the girls who rent the paddock were here.

Yes it is a bit poncey as it's just part of the garden with some trees.

Similarly I have to stop calling my shed a cabin!!!
