Just to clarify, I DIDN'T pay £60 for someone to do it for me - I paid £60 for a Fire Stick with it already fitted. I've already said I'm not technical, and Ovalman says it'll take 2 hours if you don't know what you're doing so I'd have to allow myself 3, so £25 for someone to do the work for me seemed fair enough.

Where do you buy them??
How do they fit to tv? May use that for a few months Really unsure about talk talk now. |

You can buy the Sticks at Argos, Amazon, Tesco Direct etc, for £35. As Ovalman says, you can then install Kodi following videos on youtube. Otherwise pay someone to do it, like I did. They just fit into the HDMI port on your telly.

Cheers. Suppose you can easily move them too.
Better buy one and use that for few months cheers fella. |

You nee a strong wifi signal that can stream. If you can watch Youtube video's on a laptop wirelessly without stuttering you will be fine.
The Burnley match cut out on me once an was OK quality. The picture is only as good as the source you find. I've had matches in HD before but couldn't fin many streams for the Burnley match. I understand that Mikael, sorry I idn't make it so clear. As you say if your a technophobe you can buy the stick with everything but it's not hard to do it yourself. A simple Youtube video explains it all. It also gives you the ability to add more channels should anything be taken down. |

Just got a stick with everything installed for £50.
I will report back how good it is. Cheers MD for the tip. |

Can you record on it 69?
|
|
By:
Why would you need to record? There's an add-on for watching football replays.

The wife like to record her soaps when she's out.

I like to pause the telly while I go do sumat (I don't mean pausing porn either
)Also things often happen in live sport that I'll want to watch again in slow mo that arnt covered in highlights (like when van persie had the ball blasted into the back of his head from point blank range the other season.....I actually cry laughing sometimes, yeah I'm degenerate, bite me) Whether that's worth 120 a month I'm not sure. |

virgin had 'leakage' for years due to the method they provided a service, but sky was largely robust.
It will be interesting how they go about dealing with this technological revolution because after all its mostly them who pay for sporting rights then sell those rights to virgin and others |

I have a GI mini box...cost less than a 100 euro. Every sports channel imaginable, all movie channels etc. Card sharing system, pay 20 euro a month. Only drawbacks....not all channels available in HD (no big deal imo) and whilst it is possible and easy to record onto a USB stick, doesn't have the convenience and functionality of Sky+.
Can't believe what a Mug I was to shell out for Sky for so many years. |
