Because of that, the vast majority of cars that get their clocks knocked back have it done before their first MOT.

Nice website. Good to see one of my former loyal and trusty vehicles still getting a mention beyond the scrapyard grave.

Pleased to see that my e-type is still on the road.

Also interesting that,as I was told, it was black when first registered and immediately re-finished in red!

Also interesting that I have never seen a black one.

It must have looked pretty special!

Watch out for "one previous owner" used cars. The previous owner may well be a hire-car dealer. One owner, 500 drivers.

Am glad you mentioned that AP  ,having checked your reg after seeing the photo you posted myself  a noticed the black colour straight away ,a did not want to mention it ,,,,so you bought a red e type that was showing as black in the log book ?
Report Smar Tarse • October 20, 2015 8:30 AM BST
Well this is more like it, about time they made the MOT history check easier, just the Reg number required.

Changed my car a month ago... checked my old car number on the website, and it says 'no record found for this vehicle'!?
It had an mot, and I never had problems renewing tax on it, as you can't renew without an mot, which is checked on the
DVLA website.
Any idea why the car isn't there on the site?

brendan....at this time I can't recall, though I was the third owner (it was about four years  old when I got it) so it may have been changed
in a later Reg Doc.

Isn't that totally fabulous?

It's actually a very dark green....gorgeous!
Report The Leopard • October 20, 2015 11:35 AM BST
Yes, green, only looked at first thumbnail photo for that one which looks very dark.

(Sort of poetic considering OP's forum name)

Guess what I paid for mine, and what I sold it for a year later.

It was actually three and a half years old, and only done 26k miles.
Report The Leopard • October 21, 2015 3:13 PM BST
£5 ?
Report Aunty Post • October 21, 2015 3:57 PM BST
That's good but it's not right!
