Most religion is pretty awful stuff but Islime is a loathsome excrescence of human life.

Does being 'married off' include being subject to full, penetrative sex? Is there a later 'age of consent'? Confused

You would do better to listen to the plight of these women.

After having them, they might even try you.  As you seem to be so keen to muddy the issues. You appear to be
rather close to the religion of peace in your daily comments. Just the usual muddied excuses or obfuscation attempts.
They have charities daily advertising for funds to stop the impregnation of girls as young as 11 who have
had their bodies ruined by 14 with multiple births.
And then along comes naydam with such a question.  It is about time you looked around and learned something
about these barbaric practices instead of sniping from the sidelines.

Thanks Vlad. That's the problem with the written word...too easy to find yourself in an argument. Verbal is much safer.

dont talk sh1te, naydam already knew the answer. He was just playing to normal muslim response,  which is fair.

He lives in this world where the written word is either wrong or propaganda, then he replies to links that he has not seen.

Anyway, i thought betting was against the rules of being muslim

I thought his question was sickening.  He knows what goes on and  is purely trying to score silly points over the hell these young girls go through.  Sick.

I'm sure that naydam knew the answer to that question given how little say women have in muslim life.

Seems to me that the examples you are mentioning are probably illegal occurrences carried out by uneducated and desperately impoverished villagers.
It is probably also illegal.
Is 2013 that date of this horrendous act?

The men of peace don't just stop with young girls who follow peaceful religions. Such men have also left an indelible mark on the young white sexually-underaged girls of Rochdale, Rotherham and umpteen other town in the UK whose religion was irrelevant.

The colour of their skin was anything but irrelevant.

I'm afraid anyone questioning this fact is most definitely part of the problem.

Yes people like naydam are nearly as problematic as the quasi religion.  He attempts to deflect - look at the 2013 remark.
It was live on aljazeera yesterday - a whole programme with muslim women inverviewing women damaged by this disgusting trade of young girls into forced marriages.  And all naydam can do(instead of condemning it) sits on the sidelines sniping. But then he favours the religion and continues to muddy the waters.  The guy only wanted to know if penetration took place!!  Despite all the evidence from charities and organisations trying to help and/or portect these girls.
He pretends to not know about it, yet it has been headline news on and off for as long as I can remember.

It is happening right now - aljazeera are all over it - as with anything to do with this culture naydam just wants to put fingers in his and go la la la  so as far as he is concerned it isn't happening.  It hasn't PENETRATED  his brain.

The incidents come one week after a four-year-old girl was allegedly raped before being abandoned by a railway track in the capital.
The girl, who was found near her home in a poor neighbourhood in the north of the city, had been slashed with a sharp object and had severe internal injuries.
Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the attack.
The latest attacks have caused outrage in the Indian capital, with many people taking to social media to express their disgust at the crimes.
The head of the Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal, tweeted "When will Delhi wake-up? Til when will girls continue to be brutalised in Indian capital?".
The gang rape and murder of a student in 2012 in Delhi led to protests and new anti-rape laws in the country.
However, brutal sexual attacks against women and children continue to be reported across the country. Delhi alone had more than 2,000 rapes reported in 2014.

I can only suggest that you all do something about it instead of sniping away at ME! I simply asked if the girls involved in the 'eight-year- marries' scenario would be anything more than a betrothal until a later date. It is blindingly obvious that a child of that age cannot participate in sex with her 'husband'! This is why the perpetrators are being brought before the court.
Nor do I have anything to do with whatever is going on in India. You might even find that your 'religion? of peace men' aren't guilty of that one, either.
I don't know the Islamic ruling on marriage and intercourse. I don't know what the actual law states in various areas that practise Female Genitalia Mutilation
I don't know what the law states in the cases highlighted in the various countries of the world. I have no doubt that these events occur, to a greater or lesser degree, in many other countries/regions/.
I strongly suspect, although I don't KNOW, that most of these activities are illegal. Although one should bear in mind that the 'age of consent' does vary around the world.

No doubt abuse will follow. Still, while you're slagging me of it saves you bothering with all the stuff you're tutting about!

By:
mobo
When: 17 Oct 15 18:34
despite it being plastered all over the media he pretends he doesn't know and asks silly questions about penetration.
Why does he think charities and aljazeera guardian etc talk about the ruination of young girls bodies - multiple pregnancies by the age of 14  and children being taken from the UK.
By:
naydam
When: 17 Oct 15 19:09
I don't even know who ARE the Muslims in today's world! Do you? Who would YOU suggest are the Muslims? The REAL Muslims, that is.

Mobo. I asked that question as delicately as I could because it simply does not make any sense at all for an adult to engage in sex with a child. The disastrous outcome is obvious.
And why do you think that I enquire as to Islam's stance on marriage/sex/age/consent? I doubt if it approves of situations like that. But nobody ever provides a definitive response. And before you say it...yes, I DO know that the Prophet married a 9 year-old!

Mobo. So, just to clarify things: Are you saying that Islam, per se, supports marriage of 8 year-old girls to 40 year-old men? Are you also saying that it supports sexual intercourse between the man and the girl?

I would have thought that marriage at thirteen would be easily understood...the age of consent is only 14 years in Spain for example (I believe). In many societies, including Christian ones, a female must be a virgin when she marries, otherwise she is seen as 'damaged goods' and, therefore, worthless. This causes much inter-family friction, apparently.

I think that the events you describe, which are, indeed, upsetting, are generally carried out illegally by illiterate/poorly educated sections of their society. There are lots and lots of examples that you could hold up...but this is because there are lots and lots of people in that category. And they could be of any religion whatsoever. It only requires poverty.

I DO wish that you would cease your personal remarks. This is a forum. You are far from correct in your assessments.
For example: Your post at 19:12. What do you mean "some piece of work"? You thought I didn't know about what? You never stop banging on about Mohammed and his wife FFS!

You would probably feel a lot better if you actually made yourself DO something about the plight of these children instead of just misinterpreting my posts.
'Arranged Marriages' are a totally different thing. These have been the norm in many societies for generations. Their success rate probably exceeds that of the modern western method of selection (see Jeremy Kyle)

Off goes naydam to spain - irrelevant - just to cover up, obfuscate and attempt to confuse the quasi religion of his friends and thei sick practices they do all over the world.  It was you that made asked the sick question about whether penetration took place when organisations have all the evidence that this is taking place with girls as young as 8 and girls having had several pregnancies by 14 which have severely damaged them - which you pretend to not know about.
By:
naydam
When: 18 Oct 15 11:51
Well Mobo, the truth is that I didn't know that 'it goes on'. That was why the question was needed. Any normal person would assume that sex did NOT take place because it simply beggars belief that anybody, however illiterate, wouldn't foresee the results.
And NO, I don't know anything of multiple pregnancies by age 14. How could I? You obviously trawl areas of the Internet where I don't go.
Things like your pictures from back copies of the Guardian...the only thing I've ever used the Guardian website for is the crossword.
By:

When: 18 Oct 15 12:19
You are a joke naydam. You know about the 9 year old girl marrying the so called prophet yet you know nothing about the Islamic ideology and its preference for young girls despite it being plastered all over the media.  Pull the other leg Naydam.
The attempted slur 'you obviously trawl areas of the internet where I don't go' is pathetic.  This is from mainstream media guardian etc and aljazeera - only yesterday a full programme and not me trawling the internet. Also from adverts on mainstream television asking for help for these damaged children . You know nothing about it ha ha.  Very strange from you.

Naydam, I cannot hold my silence on your replies any longer, you've had enough rope.
To say you didn't know that 'it goes on' is staggering beyond belief. Why did you need to ask the question when every man and his dog knows 'it goes on'?
You didn't (or still) don't know about the multiple births to under 14's is just another example of the sand in your eyes, having had your head buried under the dunes for so long.
As for others trawling the internet in places you don't go, how about spending less time doing the Guardian crossword, switching off BBC news, open your door and spend a little more time outside.
Or shall we all on here take you as a wind up merchant?

naydam, you arein denial if you actually believe it is only the illiterate and uneducated within Islam that support under age marriage and under age sex. Apparently 45% of muslims in UK,sorry haven't got the link to endorse it, do not agree with our form of democratic government and age of consent laws. There will be variations within that 40% of course but they aren't all illiterate.
