I'm no fan of Gosden usually but I cheered him when he reprimanded Nick Luck in the interview after the race when Luck was eulogising Dettori's 'comeback' when Gosden said, "I thought you were talking about the horse" and then went on to praise Golden Horn and his 'comeback' from his defeat by Arabian Queen, practically dismissing Luck after he'd finished his appraisal.
Channel 4 should remember: racing is about the horses and not try to turn everything into a tupenny-'a'penny, dumbed-down soap opera about the 'personalities' in the game.
Yes, Frankie gave Golden Horn a beautifully judged ride from his unfavourable draw and said in his interview how he'd been thinking about it all week - but Gosden had previously said in his interview that a lot of thought had gone into how to ride the race. My guess is Gosden probably had the biggest part to play in the tactics.
What a horse Golden Horn is though - the main praise should be all about him.

Looked at the prices this week and thought I would not want to be laying a top quality Derby winner at 5/1 and bigger on decent ground.
A stunning and very brave ride by Frankie , a very high risk factor if it went wrong.
Flintshire was a ludicrous price for his consistency.
The first 3 were always the first 3 , bar the pacemaker.
Having lost the ride on Treve due to injury and the horses poor mid season races last season , I am sure he must be delighted to have proved many people wrong this season.
And to think he once picked another horse instead of Golden Horn ......mind it did win the Irish Derby.
