Obviously whether it's the right option for you would depend on a very detailed examination of your personal circumstances.  You'd need an expert in common sense.  They are hard to find.

I'm not saying they are a rip off.  I'm sure they will be the best option for some people.  Just it's the type of thing I'd expect there to be a high chance of being ripped off and/or the person taking it out doesn't fully understand the downside.  The problem is if you google search review you may get a few fake good reviews, but it's very unlikely a bad review isn't genuine.

There's often a link to dodgy companies and practices on the net somewhere if you search hard enough

it may be you have no other option and need the cash, but, its a dreadful scheme
