Sure I saw a programme on this about 10 years ago, it was tested & thought to be from around the 14th century or sometime around then.

Its a linen shroud. Who are these confused scientists?
|
|
By:
have a look on wiki, its great reading, the shroud is now starting to change colour, and some guy says that it was radiation burns that left the face on it,a supernatural burn.it was carbon dated 14th century, but they found some rags from the first century that have the exact same chemicals as the shroud has so they believe that there was an earthquake in the year 33 that has something connecting chemicals to both materials .

Another gut says the maker of the shroud used sticky tape to hold the fold together.

I once saw the face of Jesus Christ on a pizza.
|
|
By:
but that's not my point, a jesus face on a pizza will not make you famous, but the guy who made the shroud could have being famous for the material he used, never mind faking a jesus face on it.
All he had to do was say" I found a cloth that will last 600 years,or 2000 years depending on the time he lived" A cloth that nobody can tell how old it is.he did not have to involve jesus at all, unless he was jesus. |

Its a pretend mystery like the Bermuda Triangle, The Yeti, that lump of "unknown " metal in India. There aint no scientists puzzling over this nonsense.

Dame Isabel Piczek
Event Horizon Encoded holographic information Get googlin'... |
|
By:
they all have different theories, but what sort of stuff is used that some can prove that it is paint on the image, while others prove its blood.did the faker mix blood and paint together.
And the blood scientists now has a blood type, while the paint scientists say there is oxide in it. |

By:
Well it won't make me famous because I ate it but it was there all the same.

I think I read about her, does she talk about non swirling blackholes.
Einstein(talked about worm holes before everyone else) said to imagine a worm with two mouths,go to one mouth (blackhole)and you will come out in another (blackhole)but you will travel back in time to a younger universe. ![]() I will check Isabel out later. |

It's a quantum hologram.......created by a burst of energy.....

" “The entire Resurrection process is akin to the Big Bang creation of the universe when something was created from nothing,” explains Piczek. “You can read the science of the Shroud, such as total lack of gravity, lack of entropy (without gravitational collapse), no time, no space—it conforms to no known law of physics.”
Dame Piczek created a one-fourth size sculpture of the man in the Shroud. When viewed from the side, it appears as if the man is suspended in mid air, indicating that the image defies previously accepted science. The phenomenon of the image brings us to a true event horizon, a moment when all of the laws of physics change drastically. Dame Piczek contends that the image was created in an infinitesimally small fraction of a second and its formation was absent of the effects of gravity. " |

sounds good.hologams are like a films, they are not real, quantum says we could all be living in a sort of dream and we are all part of a game designed by our creator.

Velasquez, that sounds really interesting, you probably know this, but the laws of physics have broken down as it is,and nobody knows what to do,at the moment the maths don't add up.so I will look forward to reading up and see if I can understand piczek.i still enjoy even if I don't understand, but you have to remember in you post piczek is the creator.

the catholic church do not believe the shroud has jesus's face on it.but most other religions do believe it is the face of jesus.usually its the other way round.
|
|
By:
I think we all live our own reality,we attract everything that happens to us,and then we blame someone else when things go wrong.all it is all done by our thinking.
in other words what a man thinks about life, will occur for him because the universal law will provide for what he thinks. so if we think good thoughts good things will happen. and visa versa. that's my theory on everything. ![]() |
|
By:
The arms don't look right, but the face can't be a forgery, artists in the 13-14 century couldnZt paint in that way.
|

By:
You should really start thinking about leaving a space after a comma, brassneck. Get important things in life like that correct and everything else will fall into place

Didn't the owners of the shroud say no more tests?
That was some while ago, but either way the odds don't look good for it being what it is suggesting it is. It's used as a talisman item for believers and the church allow it without confirming or denying, I guess that's a lesson learned over time since if it gets proven to be fake they look really silly again if they back it totally. But then why is it treated as a relic, placed in a bullet proof box and implied it's a relic? Because it's symbolism that the church are using as a cash cow to the collect desire of their belief. It's the same as the list of proven fake relics made to support the Jewish claim on Jerusalem, that sarcophagus that they said housed jesus's bones but was lashed up to support a theory within last century, other words a con or manipulation. List it with the holy lance (wrong) and the bones of martyrs or jesus's alleged foreskin.....or Brian's sandal ffs. |

I looked up your Dame on Wikipedia Velasquez and I found this
Isabel Piczek (born 1941) is a Hungarian born ecclesiastical artist and physicist, perhaps best known for her study of the Shroud of Turin, and who currently lives in Los Angeles. Her sister, Edith Piczec, was also a noted religious artist. I'm quite willing to accept that she is an ecclesiastical artist without further proof but I can't find anything about her qualifications in Physics. Can you enlighten me please? |

it's definitely not jesus. everyone knows jesus is a white guy.
|

By:
razz
sorry to disappoint you but I have it on good authority that he was Jewish and born in what is now Northern Israel. I'm not sure that would make him white, more a light brown - with long hair and a beard though, obviously. |

unnecessary - bible enough! don't need the dishes at the last supper (holy grail). Or spear of destiny? the book is the proof. Copies date from 80 AD. More copies of the new testement exist from that period than any other book of antiquity.
