My laptop is a Lenovo and basically on its last legs anyway. The hinges are bullshi t on this laptop and the screen is hanging by a thread - I digress. My problem right now is that it has decided to not let me type some numbers. The numbers above the letters are not working except 5 and 6. The number pad zero and two will not work. Any ideas or shall I just smash this pos up?

2. the ribbon connecting the keyboard to the mobo has become slightly detached. on a lot of laptops you can check this without have to get a screwdriver out. there may be a couple of latches on the top of the keyboard you can push back and the keyboard should pop out. check the internet for your model.
failing that, my advice would be to go on ebay and see if you can buy a new laptop for $556.65.
