My laptop is a Lenovo and basically on its last legs anyway. The hinges are bullshi t on this laptop and the screen is hanging by a thread - I digress. My problem right now is that it has decided to not let me type some numbers. The numbers above the letters are not working except 5 and 6. The number pad zero and two will not work. Any ideas or shall I just smash this pos up? Laugh

probably one of two things.

1. the keys have lost part of their mechanical function and the relevant bit needs replacing. in the case of a laptop this usually means the

2. the ribbon connecting the keyboard to the mobo has become slightly detached. on a lot of laptops you can check this without have to get a screwdriver out. there may be a couple of latches on the top of the keyboard you can push back and the keyboard should pop out. check the internet for your model.

failing that, my advice would be to go on ebay and see if you can buy a new laptop for $556.65.

write a formula in excel like this a1=6-5, then in a2 type =a1+(6-5) and drag it down. Hey presto, copy and paste any number you want. However if you have an old version of excel you won't be able to get above about 65,000.
