Well 2 questions actually.
Why are there mainly (almost entirely) young men in these camps and crowds across Europe?
Maybe they're trying to avoid conscription. I don't know.

Why are they not stopping in Croatia/Hungary/Austria etc (safe war-free areas)?

One part solution. maybe to allow women and children through first.

What's happening is you have genuine refugees who have taken the now well documented routes joined by economic migrants thus swelling the tickle to a flood, how many are from Syria 10-15% how many are saying they are from Syria 50% plus I suspect, hard to prove where your from if you lose your passport.

Even the BBC say less than a 1/4 of this wave of migrants are from Syria, so true figure probably around 10%

Always gonna be easier for the younger members of society, with no major ties  like homes or kids to abandon, to make the long journeys. Maybe some are trying to avoid conscription to Assad's Syrian Army but that's not neccessarily a bad thing. Guess you have to put yourself in their shoes at that age and think what you'd do.

Germany have said they'll take as many migrants as turn up so no surprise they'll try to reach Germany rather than try and settle in countries like Croatia/Hungary/Austria etc who've made it clear they don't want them.

I personally think they'd be better off setting up safe camps in countries like Turkey and aiming to bring the war to an end so people can go back to their own countries in safety rather than let Germany try and dictate what happens. You have to remeber Germany has an aging population so for now it suits them to cherry pick migrants and asylum seekers but that won't last forever. Whatever the solution demonising the migrants who are byproduct of the problem doesn't really help anyone.

Geoff  you are deemed a racist and Islamaphobic if you dare ask that obvious question,

Those using that tactic realize how successful it has been in the past to close down the discussion.EG Rochdale and other northern towns.

If they want their own countries to be brought back to safety every one of these young men, fit and of military age should be conscripted into a European army under German French and British leadership and sent back to Syria to free their country.

Germany will not take the migrants, they are determined to move them into all of Europe. Great pressure will be put on Hungury Slovakia C Republic and Britain and the problem will destroy every part of Europe I would love to see millions end up in Germany , the Germans have a word fot it.

The answer to both questions can be given with one comment Study:

They are predominently young men because they are economic migrants masquerading as refugees and because they are economic migrants they are choosing to move to countries where they feel they are most likely to make money.

Easy way to tell where they are from. Ask them what area they are from. Get a map of that area with other maps of random towns - all with no names on. Ask the migrant to point out where he lived and to name all of the streets/features in the local area.

Canada has taken only women and men with families from Syria. They haven't taken any single men. That seems like a much better idea.

Germany for forst stop but Swedish law allows a young (under 18 ? or 20 ) refugee/asylum seeker to be joined by their family at the expense of the state/taxpayers .

Dont forget the russians are clearing all opposition to assad although no one seems to mention Hamas ,i think they are against assad and it will be a long long time until syria sees peace or even an agreement .

Anyone genuinely fleeing this sort of situ needs helped but as mentioned ,helped closer to home ,if the rusians are clearing towns of civilians ,they should be taking refugess or paying for others ,like Turkey to do so .
Russians role here is very shady and exactly what is going on in syria is far from clear ,we are not being treated to the daily propaganda of who done what to who ,rather the opposite ,not sure many understand the complexities of the situ and thats how they like it.

These unaccompanied minors are always much older than they claim.

You couldn't bet the odds on that the migrant gang that gang raped the 14 year old in Austria are around 20.

The gentlemen who murdered the charity worker in Sweden was supposed to be 15, he was bearded over six foot and looks in his twenties.

How long are these people going to be allowed fool people.

"Germany for forst stop but Swedish law allows a young (under 18 ? or 20 ) refugee/asylum seeker to be joined by their family at the expense of the state/taxpayers ."

The BBC (surprisingly) explained this online the other day. I can only thing the guy who wrote it has since been fired for telling the truth and so contravening BBC policy.

In Sweden if you are considered a kid then you can bring your family over. The oldest age obviously there if you can be if you are 20 and are going to lie to be a Trojan Horse for your family (my words but accurate) 16 is a good number.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-35444173

If you look at the age graph of the migrants that have went to sweden, it's large up to 16 and then falls off, and there is absolutely HUGE spike saying they are age 16 for people from Afganistan.

What a coincidence.. Still, C4 news and the rest will call me a "Transphobic Racist" for pointing this out.

FFS C4 news tonight managed to turn a segment on Deutschland 83 into pro migrant propaganda.

yes it's under 18 for the reason stated about bringing in family members. It said on radio 4 that they state they are 16 because they get extra support and benefits, and the process takes 12 months to get their family in so they are still under 18. All these that are doing this are not Syrians as they are automatically allowed to bring in their family no matter how old they are.

A  22 year old Swede murdered by an alleged 15 year old migrant.

Migrants having " sexual emergencies " causing them to rape young boys in swimming pools.

Taharrush has come to Europe, this is a migrant game.

Gang rape seems the Afghan way of coping withe " sexual emergencies "

I suppose this is all part of the demonising of migrants
