Mohamed builds a clock

did he get much time?

now here's a surprising turn

Never trust a cuckoo who's mother was named after a sharp tool...

Come on guys, we've all done it when we were young.

Who hasn't taken anything to school that looks like an IED?

Kid's obviously a genius and probably taken the clock mechanism out of clock all by himself.

Straight A student imo, or failing that promising young footballer.

Family says he is loved by everybody and lights up a room when he enters!  BANG!!

Themover.

We were worse.  We made guns out of bits of wood and shot germans when we were kids!!!

I just saw a photo of the "clock", it does look exactly like a bomb.
Not much of an invention either, supposedly he just took one clock from it's casing and put it into another.

Certainly something not right with the story.

Why? What's wrong with the story? If it's a set-up, it's not a very good one because most people who read the story, like myself, would have thought "Obviously they thought it might be a bomb. It looks like it could be a bomb."

Don't see how this is a win for either side. The kid made a clock, fair enough. The school thought that it was suspicious, fair enough. Obama found out and thought it could be free publicity, fair enough. The family want to make a big deal about it, well I think that's a bit unnecessary but parents often get overprotective when it comes to ther kids. But seriously, what's the big deal?

Blown up out of all proportion.

The standard of teaching must be at an all time low. How this can be mistaken for anything other than a clock is beyond me.

I think patra is either playing stupid, or being stupid.

while living in south america, as far from islam as he can get, and while exploiting the profitable growth opportunities of the "emerging markets".

but not barack obama apparently

Maybe he has relations in Saudi Arabia. The White House love Saudi Arabian projects in September.......

WHo wouldn't want one of them on the mantelpiece. Bet Obama's got one and so has Cherie Blair.

Home made timing device....no doubt he has a mobile as well....

The clue is in the name

Not playing stupid, I'm afraid, so you're going to have to explain why it was a conspiracy rather than just a perceived PR opportunity for Obama.

The link you posted made a big deal of Obama tweeting that the clock was cool before a picture of it had been published in a newspaper (as evidence of this conspiracy), even though the story was already all over Twitter and other social media before Obama's tweet.

the story went to the media before it was exposed by individuals on the internet, the media played the whole fictional narrative for days without question, even when clockboy was directly being fed lines in his interviews from his sister (who was once suspended for making bomb threats) and from cair representatives (a muslim brotherhood activist group)
i know obama has a lot of time for golf and celebrity parties but is he also following a lot of 14 year boys and tweeting whenever they get sent to the principals office?
clockboy is off to saudi arabia  so will have to postpone his visit to the white house, his mit education and his job at nasa. if you'd like to be a clockboy here's an instructional video to bring you up to electronic genius level:

Good luck getting that on the plane when he's goes to visit Obama.  I want a nice suitcase bomb clock for my place now.

Its just like the dead child on the beach - the truth comes out - but much later.
Story and pics used to push an agenda.
Of course as far as trouble goes you only have to look at the name!!

actually there has been almost no truth coming out in the general media on this story, some are still running the original narrative
in obamas speech at the UN it emphasised that non muslims must stop equating Islam with terrorism, the core of this speech would have been set weeks ago, and the obama speech comes just after clockboy's UN address. numerous other examples of this including the admin lying for weeks about bengazi despite knowing the facts almost immediately, very little curiosity by the media then or now.

other main topic obama's UN speech was of course global warming being the biggest threat to the world, not so concerned with the mid east collapsing or the massive proliferation of nuclear weapons in the next decade.

Nice.. $15m

This is NOT a racist thread.

ooh, sarcasm

islam isn't a race though, you're not very bright are you.

he took a clock gubbings and put it in a suitcase.

It does look like a bomb. With all the high terror alerts, what did he and his parents think would happen?

Now he is suing for $15m.

I wouldn't be surprised if they planned it from the start.

The family should be charged for wasting police time. As they must have known what would happen if he took that device into a school.

turn up with that device at an airport or an Obama rally and see what happens to you.

Obama really does find it hard not to make himself look a chump at every opportunity

Nearly everything about the clock boy story could have come out of an episode of the Simpsons and I would imagine many of them already have.

Playing the victim's card.  We never saw that one coming!!!

I'm surprised the lawyers took the case on. The fake bomb legal industry is hardly booming.

"boy genius" ???
It's only a phukin clock !

Is the real bomb legal industry flourishing ??

just saying

Markets set to explode
