g2d I'm going for the 'lulling opposition into a false sense of security' angle.

One thing I did find amusing last night was the 6'10" Martin Bayfield interviewing people, and everyone having to look upwards.
Put me in mind of Al from Police Squad.

Hope they get him a good selection of scum halves for future post match amusement.

Rugby fan Ron Rutland spent more than two years cycling across Africa and Europe so he could watch his beloved South Africa in the World Cup – only to then see them lose in the sport’s biggest upset.

The former banker and amateur player timed his 26,700 mile trek so he could arrive in the UK just in time to watch the Springboks play Japan on Saturday.

Despite the team being one of the tournament’s favourites, an exhausted Ron watched open mouthed as they were beaten 34 -32 by a nation that last won a World Cup match 24 years ago.

Ron, 41, was in the crowd at Brighton having left his home in Capetown in April 2013 and cycled through almost every country in Africa on a personal adventure.

“I was not expecting that. It was the biggest upset in rugby history and it felt like I was watching a movie, I just could not believe it what I had just witnessed,” he said.

I was absolutely gob-smacked. To be such a big fan and come all this way to see that was just surreal.”

as they say in South Africa, this current lot couldn't hold a Kindle™ to previous Springbok sides.

They got battered up front, which surprised me a wee bit. Injuries obviously going to affect most teams, but they seem to have had more than their fair share.

Argentine commentators loving this match of course. They sound like they're smirking whenever they refer to England's exit.

it's the kiwis v the frogs I'm looking forward to most. French often a bit of a bogey team to the ABs in World Cups.
