This thread has made me check the Radio Times description. Tbh, I'm still not really sure what to expect.
A single, unfamiliar blond hair on her husband’s scarf rends beloved GP Gemma Foster’s comfortable world apart. She rips the stuffing from her own life as suspicion twists and burns. Suranne Jones is perfect as Gemma; every single emotion plays right across her face in Mike Bartlett’s tight, wrong-footing and suspenseful drama. We watch as corrosive thoughts turn Gemma from a loving wife with a perfect and happy life, to a woman who starts to lose her grip on what makes her who she is. Her property-developer husband Simon (Bertie Carvel from Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell) is expansive and friendly. But maybe too friendly to female friends and acquaintances? We don’t know, and neither does Gemma. But she is determined to find out. Even if bits of the plot might make you trip up, it doesn’t matter, because Jones is so good she carries us with her, because we care. ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME 1/5. New series. Suranne Jones stars as GP Gemma Foster, a woman seemingly in control of her life and her job, until her world is suddenly turned upside down. Gemma suspects her husband of having an affair and throws herself into an investigation that will propel her, her family and even some of her patients into chaos, as she uncovers secrets that shock her to the core. |

Is "blond" rather than "blonde" hair a clue? Is the old man gay?

My sister and niece were Extra's for this show, but not sure which episode, so there's a guaranteed extra half-dozen or so viewers for this series, or at least until their screen-time comes and goes.

The bloke is 40 the girl early 20's, never actually seen kissing as the girl watching them's view was obsured, photo's misleading none really show that they were a couple, my guess is the older blonde is the mother & the husband is the FATHER of the said girl supposedly having an affair & all this happened before he met his current wife.
Though I of course could & probably are completely wrong. |

pumphol ... saw it and what you say makes sense to me.
Why can't they just tell us now so we can watch something else. Frankly, I found it ok, but all a bit frantic and unreal. Are there really people who live their lives at 100 mph? |

I nearly turned it off too. I don't even watch many of these programs but felt I'd seen it all before.
Something sickening to me in the way that all middle-class people are presented as being attractive, got good jobs, very, very busy, kids are all sweet and polite, always having a few glasses of wine at dinner parties etc. Everyone happy. I know it is setting the scene before a fall, but it is so hackneyed. Her relationship with the girl ('private investigator') was unbelievable. |

Watched it, thought it was pretty good and a lot better than I expected.
BTW, the minute I saw the waitress daughter in the bar, I knew it was her. Too obvious. ![]() |
