They are making open plan bedroom/ lounge properties now.
In these Studio Apartments your lounge doubles as your bedroom --
Your couch rolls out to become your bed at night .
Does ANYONE fancy living in one of these places ??

Blimey -- i thought bed sits were kitchen and lounge
Combined. Crazy

Mate of mine lived in one -- the bed folded into the wall (or really into the middle of a pair of wardrobes, if you get the picture). It is all right for people living on their own, I guess.

bed needs to be remote control for full effect

If I had one, I'd want lots of space, and a screen in front of the bed.

**** me have you lot gone from living with Mummy and Daddy to having your own house.

I've lived in rooms in shared houses and flats, bedsits sharing bathrooms, Studio flats , Flats and houses.....and a Castle....also a tent.

Hard to believe some people seem curious about a studio flat.

Don't know where and why my previous comment has gone!!

I have two of them. One bought for £15k nine years ago and one for £18.5k a couple of years earlier.

They have been seen as high as £25-32k. I have DHS in one of them and a decent young lass in the other.

Maybe I've been lucky but haven't had any problems, even though I've had five different tenants.

Also haven't had them vacant for more than six weeks between tenants, which is fine, as I like to keep them well maintained

T & C.

I bought my own house at 22.

Deposit came from a treble at Ascot.

Bought mine at 24. Brand new detached bungalow and garage specked up interiors etc.

Like you I put down a massive deposit of £50.00, and my hand was shaking as I wrote the cheque, and wasn't sure how to spell "Fifty"!

Very prudent, every 22 year old's dream.

I assume you started your pension at 18.
