Dont you think it breeds violence and pigheadedness as opposed to european culture where prohibition of arms is mostly the norm, the normal gun toting american must think we are soft and what they think of middle easterns speaks for itself.
Its not as if they will be attacked by red indians or something and yet there violent society has got on with it for say 0ne hundered years plus developing violently. Why we should be so friendly with them beats me and to think they set the trend is not good enough in this day and age. unless you are up for ww3 which i am sure there arms industry would welcome.
I would restrict every americans visa for international travel until they fall in line with europe and prohibit the aquisition of arms to the general public. it asks you a question has the arms industry and there gang got everyone by the short and curlies.

I don't think that the normal American actually owns a gun but the NRA have a powerful political voice and unite their voters much more efficiently than the 'tighter-gun-law' lobby.

The NRA operates by playing on the fears of US citizens that their rights...any rights, might be taken from them. The documentary that I watched on this subject displayed how the NRA played upon this 'police-state-kicking-in-your-door' attitude. Having seen some of the recent actions of their police, I can quite understand it!

It seems the police have been very racist but i dont know how or if the NRA are racist plus there society has been conditioned differently to ours. Agreed there police seem questionable which leads you to the question of america and its allies international interests which is questionable as well.
They just seem a bit too callous to me anyway im sure i cant be alone in that opinion |

In the main, the police do an extremely difficult job very well in my view. Much of the bad press they receive is grossly unjust.

I admire the Americans. Right at the very beginning of the state they knew from where their greatest enemy could come (government) and they helped safeguard themselves against it with the right to bear arms. That hasn't gone away and it's stood them in good stead for well over 200 hundred years. We don't have the right to carry guns any more and our government rides rough over out uncodified constitution and by extension us.
I don't think the septics have it too bad. grater chance3 of being shot dead by a nutter. less chance of the government bending them over (usually) and less chance of the weak being prayed on. |
