Very disturbing how this is being presented by the media.

They seem to believe that these barbarians will be defeated with love and kindness.

My mum says that this shouldn't even have made the news.

That's very disturbing imo.

I hope we are all comfortable with the long-range, clinical killings that Mr Cameron is carrying out against the authorisation of his own government. These killings are probably illegal, as time will tell. Similar in result to Saddam's weapons of mass destruction! A government lie to serve somebody else's agenda.
Will he admit his part in events when we have to reap what he has sown? I doubt it. Just like Tony Blair and his WMD and Margaret Thatcher with the General Belgrano, the lives of the people must not be allowed to stand in the way of their political career.

Personally, I think he just lit the touch-paper to a rather large firework...without reading the instructions properly!  Sad

There'll be no tears here, Facts.

I'll leave that to the apologists and the pacifists.

Just a pity more couldn't have been taken out.

It's only other terrorists, their peace-loving brethren and of course Britain's very own 'Useful Idiot' Apologists who are weeping for the terrorists killed yesterday.

naydam What was wrong with the Belgrano sinking then?

I suppose that very few are weeping for those killed yesterday but there may be much general weeping come harvest-time.

Some people don't handle power well. The desire to 'just try the button...just once' is too much for them. Methinks we have an itchy-fingered PM! Cool

The General Belgrano was outside of the Military Exclusion Zone. That was supposedly 'safe' territory. Maggie gave the order to sink it. Mass murder. Strangely, any evidence of communications between nuclear submarine's commander and London was lost when the sub's log book went missing.

I can't think of any other time in history that a sub's log book got 'lost'. It never leaves the vessel as far as I know! It is the Holy Bible and everything is recorded.

naydam,
not wanting to argue with you but isn't war, war?

Exclusion zones seem silly - bit like having to throw a six before you can fire a torpedo - it's not a game so sort of makes sense to me that we should kill the enemy at every opportunity.

But having said that, both sides failed miserably coming to war and good people were killed because of useless politicians.

Wasn't the first time and certainly many since SadSadSad

Interesting how the 'police' story develops in Birmingham..

A plot to abduct a copper has been uncovered under the Terrorism Act. One of those charged is...a policeman..

Frightening.

It wasn't MY 150 mile Exclusion Zone. It was created by the powers that be in Britain...the Admiralty and the Government.
The Argies were warned that any ships within 150 miles of the Falklands would be sunk. These were OUR rules of engagement. That ship could not pose any threat to the task force, especially when being watched by a nuclear sub! It wasn't fast enough and would never be able to detect the sub. I cannot imagine that the Commander of the sub didn't object to the order to kill. He was in a non-combat zone. Those sailors never had a chance and the sub Commander would know that. Being an honourable man, he would object. Being dishonourable political scum, they pulled rank on him.

Did we actually declare war against Argentina?

She wasn't outside the exclusion zone.
The exclusion had been extended to a TOTAL exclusion zone if you were a thought to be a threat you were fair game.
She was a threat and was sunk.
You are way off the mark if you think Thatcher gave orders to sink her.

You're talking nonsense naydam.
The military asked permission to sink the Belgrano because it was a danger to the fleet.
Margaret Thatcher gave permission but only after discussing with the war cabinet.
You seem to forget that Argentina invaded the Falklands and had already killed and injured many British servicemen.
You should also remember that Argentina had never previously controlled the Falklands and in fact the UK took them over before Argentina was formed.
You seem typical of the lefties in this country in that you constantly take the side of anyone we are in conflict with.
As regards Cameron going against parliament maybe you should educate yourself on when action can be taken without first discussing in parliament and seeking permission.

Naydam and facts are inadvertently the allies of the daesh thugs.  Daesh love this sort of thing that spews from the 'liberal' ideology.  While one of them points a gun at your head they would want to debate whether he had human rights and you should not exterminate said person.
What was done was legal anyway.

My view is that daesh power centres, heavy weaponry, and supply routes could be very heavily damaged. Particularly communications. The current campaign is very limited. The USA has other reasons for not doing this and daesh will continue to flourish.  Not only that but you have to consider that daesh are relatively popular in some sunni sects and are preferred to western backed groups/sects.

taking out individuals is a risky thing to do, we tried it in britain after the 7-7 bombings
, sadly a brazilian was executed on a tube train by mistake,

doubtless the powers that be would have loved to cover it up,
By:

The Brazilian was not taken out.
He was killed because the police tailing him at the station were fed wrong information.
I've never understood why peep like you need to make things up.

Why are you bothered that 3 murderous terrorists have been killed?
Identified as a danger to the UK so why not kill them?
Would you rather wait until they bomb us.

Given that these traitors were exploded a fortnight ago, there's not much chance of Her Majesty's Government breaking the news yesterday if there was any doubt about the targets.
So puff out your bare chests, British ISIL warriors, and mark a target there. You'll be expecting a virgin coming to meet you..

if the terrorists were caught in this country  and the americans wanted to put them on trial
then they would have to promise not to kill them before we handed them over

thats because we dont have a death penalty in this country, except it seems we
do, when it suits

i have no love for terrorists but refuse to stoop to their level

not a big fan of David Cameron, but he made the right call here and fair play.

Why any British person cares about a couple of terrorists being killed whose aim it is is to destroy the British way of life via terrorism I actually don't understand.

Anyone running of to IS or supports them instantly becomes a traitor.

But there is a mentality that makes you the winner if you can undercut your enemy.
We couldn't take IRA terrorists out like this, but there would have been far fewer IRA outrages, years long, if it were possible.
