WTF Is going through Merkel's head?

And what do you know, the migrants are by a large margin mostly young single men, but the BBC always finds and interviews and films the small minority who are women or kids.

I find I'm feeling a bit like one of the conspiracy nuts - it does feel like manipulative propaganda from the media.

Why would they? Ireland has much more generous unemployment benefits?

Cameron to announce today, how many Britain will take.   It is shocking what has happened in Syria, and we need to support these people.

I think we can take about 1/2 a million, and most other western countries should do the same.   Facts is correct these are refugees not migrates and are typically young working age without (elderly) dependents.   Some would say we should lock the borders, but why?

facts when they leave Syria they are refugees.

then when they have landed at the first safe country eg turkey and they want to move to other countries they are then economic migrants as they are in no danger. Looking to settle in countries which can give them the most, mainly benefits.

its not just about letting a group of nice people in.

amongst them will be potential terrorists/extremists, this cannot be ignored.

Also Islam doesn't tend to integrate well with other communities. They want to introduce their own laws/rules, and expects Britain to change for them.

Isis already claiming to have 4,000 agents in Europe through posing as refugees so far and wanting a worldwide caliphate.

I'm glad the good people of chit chat see through facts' mad ramblings. What a difference a few decades make. In living memory they hung the likes of Lord Haw Haw. ISIS tell us exactly what they intend to do and it is as easy as falling off a log. When it happens people should remember who were the agitators and facilitators. Treasonous dogs.

A video shot just outside Budapest’s Keleti railway station shows Muslim migrants chanting “Allahu Akbar” and “f**k you” as they engage in running battles with police.

Although mainstream media coverage of the migrant crisis has focused on happy families and children, footage not broadcast by TV networks shows a different side to some of those crossing into Europe.
Muslim “refugees” in Budapest chanted “Allahu Akbar” and “f**k you” while others in Italy attacked an old lady and threw feces at bystanders as Germany announced that it would be prepared to take 500,000 asylum seekers every year.

Why do people like Facts never understand anything?

If you've an influx of less skilled people or people prepared to work for less, it's the simple laws of supply and demand that the wages or employment propects of that existing sector of any society that are most affected and they will be displaced. It's precisely why Labour are leaking votes to UKIP. I've lost count of the number of times workign people have been on TV pointing this out. They get it.

And then, when given the above facts, the wages of the less skilled and unskilled are constantly suppressed which is so easily explained, you'll just go on about "bankers" or something...

At least five arrests were made in Frankfurt on Thursday night after a march by supporters of Turkish nationalism descended into bloody violence when they clashed with rival Kurd separatists.

Video of the riot has emerged on the same day Germany announced it will place 4,000 soldiers on standby over the weekend to help with a new wave of up to 40,000 refugees arriving in the country.

Police said The Thursday event was billed as a “solidarity march commemorating fallen Turkish soldiers”. According to  FR Online to it was organised by the “Federation of Turkish young people” which campaigns on behalf of Turkey. The fracas involved a group of around 380 participant and started at the city’s main railway station at 18.30.

Soon after the Turkish supporters set off there were attacks by immigrant Kurd counter-demonstrators who used sticks, bottles and stones to attack marchers. One taxi driver reportedly had his car damaged in the brawl.

Police confirmed the counter-demonstrators were of Kurdish origin and quickly withdrew.

More than 40,000 people have died since the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) launched its armed campaign in 1984 calling for an independent Kurdish state within Turkey.

Now immigrants from both sides of that battle are carrying their fight onto the streets of Frankfurt.

Meanwhile, Germany will mobilise 4,000 soldiers in the next 48-hours to help with the entry of up to 40,000 refugees in the country, Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen said on Friday.

She told Der Spiegel that she was placing the troops on alert with the expectation they could be asked to do more than just welcome the immigrant arrivals.

“The country can be sure that the Bundeswehr [German army] will be supporting” efforts to care for refugees, Von der Leyen said, adding that the army could do yet more if called upon.

“We are spreading these 4,000 soldiers across the country and they will intervene if the federal states [which are responsible for the initial uptake of refugees] request it,” a Defence Ministry spokesman told The Local.

“They will provide a helping hand, for example to set up a refugee camp, to help with organization, provide buses and drivers, other types of transport, medical services and equipment, anything of that kind.”

Record numbers of people from the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa continue to pour into Europe, with around 7,600 entering Macedonia in the last 12 hours.

Germany’s recent, surprise announcement of renewed border controls seems a direct consequence of its ill-fated decision to throw open its gates to all Syrians, a policy that has been fraught with problems from the outset.

Since Syrians enjoy a privileged status, suddenly everyone applying for asylum turns out to be Syrian.

In a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Minister of the Interior of the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lorenz Caffier, confirmed suspicions about the origin of many supposed Syrian refugees. “At least a quarter of those refugees allegedly coming from Syria are not from Syria, but from other Arab or African countries,” said Caffier.

Caffier’s statement echoes the experience of Rainer Wendt, head of the German Police Union: “Almost without exception, every refugee pretends to be a Syrian when in fact, many come from other countries, even from sub-Saharan Africa,” he said.

“All present themselves as Syrians,” said a police officer stationed in Bavaria to Spiegel Online, “even if they are obviously black Africans.”

The discovery echoes comments made by the chief of the European border force FRONTEX, who said last week, “A lot of people get into Turkey [with] Syrian fake papers, because they know that they’ll get easier asylum in the EU… People who use these fake passports, speak mostly Arabic. They come from North Africa, the Middle East, but are economic refugees”.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has criticised the European policy of open doors to “alleged-Syrian refugees” as signifying a sort of collective amnesia of the “lessons of 9/11.”

Huckabee made the comments on his podcast, “The Huckabee Exclusive,” where he offers commentary on current political events.

“Many Europeans have also forgotten the lessons of 9/11 as they allow waves of alleged Syrians refugees to stream across their borders and denounce anyone who questions it as being intolerant,” declared Huckabee. “Even as some of the newcomers were attacking and cursing police, throwing bottles, and shouting ‘Allahu akbar.’”

Earlier in the podcast, Huckabee said it was harder for Americans to get on planes through airport security than for terrorists to get into our country through our “very open borders.”

The explosion of faux “Syrian refugees” is just one element of the negative fallout from Germany’s decision to allow the unrestricted travel of Syrians into Germany. It has also irritated the countries neighboring Germany, especially those in Eastern Europe, by making Germany into a forceful magnet for refugees, who necessarily must cross through bordering states to reach it.

One commentator has suggested that Germany’s decision to reinstate border controls signifies an admission that “the practice of granting Syrian refugees asylum and allowing them unrestricted passage into Germany has failed.”

The abrupt arrival of some 60,000 people into Munich since the end of August has proved far too many for the city, showing that “while in theory the fundamental right to asylum knows no upper limit, in practice this limit is reached in a matter of days.”

Channel 4 news is still in full on leftie mode, giving Hungary a hard time for merely protecting its borders and acting as a frontier to Europe and following the rules.

They had footage full of (often angry) young men, the migrants making up the bulk of the numbers, but when they go to interview they managed to find some sad old woman to try and tug the heart strings. Interviewing 100 20 something angry migrants with fake documents wouldn't have the same effect.

There are AFAIK some unsavoury aspects in Hungarian politics but it's refreshing to have people stand up for themselves for once and say what they actually think. If Corbyn can, they can Laugh
