There are a number of Squeeze fans on the forum, they'll have been pleased by the intro music.
New series. Comedy based on the early life of radio DJ, journalist and writer Danny Baker, starring Peter Kay and Lucy Speed as his parents Bet and Fred. It is 1974, and 15-year-old Danny is about to get an experience he will never forget when his older sister Sharon and her plimsole-wearing boyfriend take him to a West End theatre. Showing people drinkng methanol (a poison) as a "joke" without showing how incredibly dangerous it is, is stupid and irresponsbile to the max.
They should get complaints for that, that's pretty annoying.
There haev been so many cases of spiking drinks and blinding killing people through ignorance, never mind problems with it in foreign countries killing so many people, just recently. The progam makers are idiots

The adverts were bad enough. Peter Kay as briefly and occasionally funny. About 20 years ago.

Peter Kay was presumably cast in order to get the project green-lighted -- he is the star who will (it is hoped) put bums on seats.
One problem with the first episode is the usual bio-pic issue -- it just becomes a gentle romp through the subject's top ten anecdotes.
