...and in the spirit of goodwill, there will be a 5 minute slot next Tuesday morning when I will forgive them for touching up and raping young boys, and removing babies from their mothers to sell abroad. I hope they really appreciate my gesture too before I go back to finding them a bunch of patronising, condescending perverts.

re the first link, you've only shown the Catholics (approx 1 billion people, and over a decades old period). In order for this to have any meaning you would need comparisons, such as statistics of tho welfare state, which you may find to be (relative to the CC) extremely evil, and presumeably those who support it and fund it?

re the 2nd link, sadly If only that lady had been lucky enough to be born in obama's more progressive times she would have been able and encouraged to abort this nuisance baby and Planned Parenthood would have harvested and sold the organs to corporations for experimentation.

Let's not breed ourselves out of existence through over-population.

Then lets kill all the priests/Imams.  And lawyers.

accurately so, anally retentive is one description, but also petty, trivial, tedious, infantile etc. as for racist, someone who can assess "illiteracy" or intelligence based on missing punctuation or unchecked spelling would be the type the assess crimiality on things like skin colour, or phrenology.

To complain about the creation of the technology which is warming and poisoning the planet, while using the internet himself is hypocrisy. Would it be unfair to assume that polybot also uses motorised transport, refrigeration and a number of other energy consuming appliances made from non-renewable raw materials?

indeed, irony of not seeing irony, for those that missed the rhetoric which I thought had the subtlety of a baseball bat, here it is spelled out more simply.

If you take the statistically average issues with the catholic church as a justification for some sort of pogrom, then you can have no complaint when the lynch mob arrives at your own door when your own crimes are much worse.

but for the sake of amusement here's a distracting and unintended consequence to the argument

the irony here ofc is that the majority of those culpable of those crimes have a higher than average likelihood to also hold beliefs of a caliphate.

Those culpable are who? Using the catholic case, the blame was focussed not on the individual pedos, but on the structure that failed to report adequately (though they did mostly disapprove and take some measures however limited retrospectively in today's terms, rotherham has no such defence)

Let's then apply an equivalent process to rotherham. The structure that failed was modern liberalism? Self -hating socialist multicultualism? The welfare state? The nanny state? Let's just call it modern britain.

Coincidently ISIS is run on a system based around the east german stasi, obviously exploiting the tribalism of islam and local tradition but effectively a social pact that reports centrally via a social construct.
Also those most likely to fuel a califate are not simply the religious but the resentful and ideological radical, like the sort behind the genocide of the french revolution, the russian revolution, the chinese revolution (in their recent goosestepping military hardware procession they failed to mention they mostly stood by while the Japanese wiped out the chinese nationalists but somehow the communist party was the hero), in fact many genocides in the century of socialism.

the point here being, those culpable of those crimes (rotherham etc) have a higher than average likelihood to also hold beliefs of a caliphate.

So to be clear polybot are you suggesting that the crimes perpetrated by mainly muslim men on vulnerable young girls are more or less culpable in the crime than those surrounding such activities?
It is neither the liberal state nor any other authority to blame for the actions of the individual.
If nefarious actions are carried out by the very people who are malignant to any concept of liberalism, but actually act similar to the criteria you mention ('resentful and ideological radical') on the disjointed belief that those that dont believe are sacrificial, then it is my view they alone are to blame. It's erroneous in my view to focus more on the unsubstantial remedies of a well meaning authority.
If you look, I didnt get involved with the argument regarding Catholicism and pedophilia, but personally I believe any institution that uses unsubstantiated theology as a vehicle to threaten, whether that also harbors sexual deviancy too or not is wrong.
To that end both Catholicism and Islam are equally tainted.
All that said, the actions of the individual are the responsibility of the individual.
Report dustybin September 6, 2015 2:08 PM BST
In a nutshell, if liberalism in action meant those who wished to perpetrate nefarious actions against others and used some sort of erroneous doctrine to justify it then that is the bi-product of a system that holds values that the collective majority believe to be the best way.
Yes the bureaucracy of 'government' could well have been improved, but you dont throw the baby out with the bath water, you take action against those that took the p1ss.
Too much emphasis was placed on the police, on social workers or people who 'should have done more'.

Dustybin, I'm simply applying the same narrative as applied to the catholics by the op, ie it is not just individual offenders who should be held to account, but the entire organisation to which they belong, in this case, the british state, which has been exceedingly accommodating to pedophiles.
If you choose to follow this half-witted, tedious and irrational argument, then exactly what is your defence for knowingly harbouring pedophiles and continuing to support organisations that rape children?

then islam and the british state are also equally tainted. which makes them equivalent, therefore the replacement of the british state with islam would be neither good nor bad, merely the same, so no big issue then.

We have established beyond any doubt that the british state harbors sexual deviancy*, it also has a capable police force, a substantial military and a nuclear arsenal. Not sure how the vatican's unsubstantiated theology as a vehicle to threaten compares but i'm guessing they are not equal. Your notion of unsubstantiated theology is bizarre, especially as a weapon of intimidation, and why haven't they used it against north korea and Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, must be a conspiracy eh chum?

*not just the rape of children, but also concepts like the criminalisation of homosexuality OR the decriminalisaion of homosexuality, as they have done both, whatever way you look at it they are guilty.
Report dustybin September 8, 2015 8:32 AM BST
Firstly I suggested the individual is accountable for their own actions, something you possibly agree with, but there is no accusation from me that Catholicism is a front for pedophilia, just that they are seemingly as corrupt in dealing with it as other institutions, namely that they don't want it to undermine their own control (whether they are complicit or not in the actions)
But we disagree if you believe that by default the people have tacit involvement in pedophilia simply for existing. I live within a state that use euphemisms to suggest we all control and shape society but it's all bolox, just because I happen to be here doesn't mean any of the bills on the statute book were my making nor does it follow that it ppl abuse power that it was my fault.
I don't necessarily disagree with much of your sentiment, except that you used Rotherham as an example in the wrong context because the people who offended in that case actively looked to abuse the system rather than abuse within it.
They were attacking not just the kids they preyed upon but also the values that they felt were sacrificial.
The ppl here can't be held accountable for that, they were effectively aliens within the system, dirt in the machine.
Report polybot September 16, 2015 12:59 PM BST
Firstly I suggested the individual is accountable for their own actions, something you possibly agree with...
Not sure about the wording, but I take the point you are getting at. As I've pointed out the two examples run fairly parallel, and yet are not quite the same.

the people who offended in that case actively looked to abuse the system rather than abuse within it.
They were attacking not just the kids they preyed upon but also the values that they felt were sacrificial.

But the system is widely known to be exploitable, and has been for a significant time on many levels, the general population knows this, accepts this, and resists almost all attempts to wind it back.

The ppl here can't be held accountable for that, they were effectively aliens within the system, dirt in the machine.
Same can be said for the cc with regard to the individuals who exploited their situations. But here's the difference, the cc can't convict anymore than Dixons Carphone can, clearly they had no legislative authority, those who reported their concerns only to the cc were either misguided, foolish or deliberately irresponsible and should have gone instead to the police). The victims in rotherham did exactly the right thing, and in a far more enlightened time, but the reason the Rotherham perps got off in the face of a sophisticated national police force was political correctness, labour has been installing that for decades and the conservatives have been moving left to meet the demand for it, that requires the majority of the public regardless of whether the excuse is ignorance, stupidity, conformity or cowardice. The fact that we now have corbyn and national socialism in scotland is testament that this situation is getting worse.
