The latest forum competition, this time it’s for Tennis’s US OPEN: PLEASE ENTER ON THIS THREAD
This is how it works:
There are 12 sections You have to pick 1 player, score, round, or number (depending on which section) for each one. The scores for each selection are listed below.
Just put the letters A to L with your choice for each - preferably going downwards, followed by a tie-break answer.
There is a prize, which Betfair have kindly donated – a total of £100 in Sportsbook bets.
This will be broken down into 3 prizes, £50, £30 and £20, for the top 3 competition finishers.
In the event of ties, a tiebreak will come into effect so there should be an absolute winner (and 2nd & 3rd).

A. What round will Stanislas Wawrinka reach – or Will he win?
In his 6 appearances at the US Open, he’s reached R1, R2, R4, QF twice and SF.
Choose from R1, R2, R3, R4, QF, SF, F, Win.
2 points for being right.
B. How many of the top 16 Mens seeds will make the last 16?
Choose from 0 to 16
4 points for being spot on, 2 points if 1 out, 1 point if 2 out.
C. How many of the top 16 Womens seeds will make the last 16?
Choose from 0 to 16
4 points for being spot on, 2 points if 1 out, 1 point if 2 out.
D. What will the score be in the 2nd set of the 1st round match between Andy Murray and Nick Kyrgios. Put Murray’s score 1st
So a score from 0-6 through to 6-0 (not forgetting 7-6 or 6-7) with the 1st number being the number of games scored by Murray in the 2nd set of this match
3 points if correct, 1 point if 1 out.
E. Will previous winners win the Tournaments (Men’s singles, Womens singles, both or Neither
Previous winners taking part are:
Men: Cilic, Djokovic, Federer, Hewitt, Murray, Nadal.
Women: Kuznetsova, Sharapova, Stosur, Williams (S), Williams (V)
Please put Men, Women, Both or Neither
2 points if correct
F. How many Games will be played in the Womens final – in total?
Choose from: 12 to 39 The last 4 finals have provided 18, 32. 28 and 17 games
4 points if correct, 2 points if wrong by 1 and 1 point if wrong by 2
G. How many SPANISH MEN will get to the last 8 of the Mens singles:
There are 12 Spanish players in the main draw currently (none in the last 8th yet – If you know what I mean) plus 5 more in the final round of qualifying as I type.
3 points for being right

H. How many of the 32 Mens seeds will be Knocked out in the 1st round
Choose from: choose from 0 - 32
4 points to correct predictions, 2 if out by 1, 1 point if out by 2.
I. How many of the 32 Womens seeds will be Knocked out in the 1st round
Choose from: choose from 0 - 32
4 points to correct predictions, 2 if out by 1, 1 point if out by 2.
J. How many of the 9 or 10 players whose surname begins with a D will still be in the mens singles in Round 3?
This is the full list, I don’t think there are any qualifiers beginning with a D who can still be added: Darcis, Delbonis, Dimitov, Djokovic, Dodiq (if he qualifies), Dolgopolov, Donaldson, Duckworth, Dzumhur and Daniel or Donskoy (who play each other to get into R1)
No matches in Round 1 or 2 are ‘all D’ affairs unless one of the qualifiers has to play one of those already in.

K. Which of these 10 players (seeds 10 – 19) will progress furthest in the mens singles?
Raonic, Simon, Gasquet, Isner, Goffin, Anderson, Monfils, Dimitrov, Lopez, Tsonga.

How many Aces will there be in the Mens final?
3 Previous finals have yielded 19, 7 and 12.

E&OE – Any ties in any sections, points shared; (eg, if the score is 2 points for 3rd, 1 point for 4th, and there's a tie for 3rd, both will score 1.5)

The organiser's (that's me) decision is final. I'll try to update scores and standings at the end of each Section’s completion.

The 1st round's concluded, so here's the 1st update and leaderboard.
Section D: Murray v Kyrgios, Set 2, (I should have said set 3), he won it 6-3. 6-3 = 3 points, 6-2 or 6-4 = 1 point. Section H: Mens seeds KO'd at the 1st hurdle (nice mixing of metaphors there). There were 3. Including Simon and Monfils, who won't now be winning any points in section K. The points awarded therefore are 4 if you picked 3, 2 if you went for 2 or 4 and a single point for 1 or 5. Section I: Womens seeds gone in R1. They fared worse than the men. 10 of them went out. Including Suarez-Navarro and Bacsinszky who also won't be getting those of use who chose them any further points. A prediction of 10 gets you 4 points, 9 or 11, 2 points and 8 or 12, 1 point. There are just 4 "D's" left, but one of them has to play Federer and another is Djokovic, so I'm predicting a low number, which is what everyone did anyway. There are 9 Spaniards still going, but 8 of these are in the top half of the draw, which means the highest possible number is a not very likely 5.
